1. Write a summary of the “talk”…essentially, what you learned from it. (Provide response in paragraph form. (Minimum Word Count – 150 Words, 20 Points) (198 Words) The video I decided to watch is called "You shouldn't have to choose between filling your prescriptions and paying bills". This video contains a lot of data that was completely new to me. It is mentioned that more than ten thousand people die every month because they do not take their medications (Williams). In addition, they die more because of not taking medication than from car accidents or opioid diseases. This person created a company called SIRUM that uses medicines that are about to expire from hospitals, pharmacies, and wholesalers to help those people who cannot afford to pay for their medicines. It consists of using recycling bins to put these medicines in these facilities. Basically, they use medicines that are donated because it is more cost effective than destroying them. The medicine that is been donate is more than 75% of the regular medicine thar are prescribe in the USA (Williams). Another thing that seemed curious to me is that chains like Walmart have already implemented an idea of charging a minimum amount for a list of medications. This idea, as the narrator rightly mentions, can be expanded to other medicines, and thus reach more communities with few resources. 2. Do you agree with the information presented? Why or why not? (Provide response in paragraph form. (Minimum Word Count – 100 Words, 15 Points) (132 words) After seeing all the titles on the list, I knew immediately that I was going to like this one a lot. I am one of the thousands of people the author talks about how hard it is to get cheap medications. My mom is a person who takes medication for various problems such as her heart and severe depression. Not all medical plans cover her medications. I am extremely impressed with all the information in this video, and I totally agree that we have the tools to improve the lifestyle of many through providing their medications. If a company like Walmart started already with this initiative, I think that we should promote this more and be more aware of how this can help so many people and change their life forever.

3. How does the information presented fit with what you have learned in this class so far? (Provide response in paragraph form. (Minimum Word Count – 100 Words, 15 Points) (149 Words) Because of my personal story and all the information that has been given in this video, I think that we need to improve in our health care system. This video fit in what we've been studying in this class because it talks about how our healthcare system is broken, how it operates and how can we improve it. I love something that the narrator was saying that there's so many broken parts about our health care system, but this one is one of those that we can change immediately and help the lifestyle of a thousand of people in the United States (Williams) . I've found so sad that a lot of people are dying or don't have a good lifestyle just because our healthcare system has been broken and manipulated by the government.
