1. There is a wide range of belief systems that acquire a significant part of many patients' lives. However, it's uncertain how medical professionals should address spiritual or religious issues, as they can come up a lot in the field of medicine. It's something that cannot be avoided as research has indicated how religious beliefs and spiritual practices of patients play a huge factor in coping with serious illnesses and in making ethical choices on treatments. 2. Does Spiritual and medicine correlate with one another, and if so how? - Religious viewpoints and beliefs have been associated with a delay in seeking treatment for serious illness. As well as religious factors correlating with patients and surrogate decisions preferences, such as desire for aggressive treatment and wanting all measures to extend life. It's a very controversial topic as the assumption that medicine and spirituality should remain separate is largely unquestioned throughout medicine. As in other aspects of individuals lives it is known to be separate out of respect for others. Although in this case it's not only impacting the individual but the patients as well which enhance the argument on the need to incorporate awareness of spirituality, and culture beliefs and practices, into the care of patients in a variety of clinical contexts. - Or what role does religion and spirituality play truly in patient care, should it be able to interfere even if that means being at risk to lose a life? 3. The counterargument would include spirituality and medicine not going together. Acknowledging the spiritual needs of patients being able to be done and straightforward in a noncontroversial manner isn't quite possible for various reasons. 4. There is an empirical amount of evidence that mounts to conclude that spirituality and medicine correlate in various ways that enhance more good than harm. Abortion a senstive topic, and its controversy is mostly due to various individuals' religious beliefs. In cases like those if a life is at risk, and the individual's religious beliefs do not prohibit them from receiving an abortion spirituality and medicine intertwine Dely treatment issue such as a desire for aggressive treatment and wanting all measures to extend life, it interfering with and losing a life like selena when is it okay to set your personal beliefs Sources
