Discussion Thread: Creation Interview
The individual I spoke with regarding these topics made some intriguing arguments and
demonstrated why they believed in these views. Regarding the first question, the individual I
speak with feels that the Genesis documents are accurate. They believe it is accurate because
they are Christians who believe what the Bible says is true and genuine. The book of Genesis
discusses creation and how the world came to be, which is a part of our history. They responded
to the second question by saying that God's timing is not our timing. 2 Peter 3:8 was cited as
saying, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a
thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (KJV). As a result, the six days may have
ranged from a single day to a thousand years. God was producing something new every day for
six days. When I asked the third inquiry, I was told that the world is approximately 6,000 years
old, although it may be a couple thousand years older. In response to the fourth question, the
individual I spoke with stated that they think Adam was a historical figure since he was the first
man created by God. Adam had many descendants, thus he had to be a historical figure. The final
question I asked this person was critical because it explains why they replied the way they did.
Their response to this question was that the reason I answered these questions the way I did was
due to my Christian beliefs. Another reason I would say I offered the answers I did is because
some of them are scientifically proven to be correct.
