Dear Ms. Janelle Smith:
According to the company handbook, that if any employee endangers company property due to
negligence, they should be punished and made to pay for the items to be replaced. Since there is
no physical evidence of who misplaced the item, and all present employees were shown in the
camera around the area where the item went missing, all employees should be punished and
made to pay for the item to be replaced. The supervisor demonstrated poor leadership by
allowing the item to become missing. When there is fraud, all employees present at the time shall
be punished and made an example of (Coenen,1).
The employees also signed an ethics pledge stating that they will report any incident that goes
against their moral and ethical judgement to the human resources department. All three
employees, however, did not report Michael and Rachel's disagreement, which seems to not be a
one-time incident but a frequent one. All the three employees present should also be punished,
and contribute for the purchase of a new scope.
Respectfully
Nicholas Hinton
