In the world of education, there is a problem across the whole country about teachers flocking away from the field of education because of the lack of respect and pay as seen across the country. This is a problem because it's only in certain states you find teachers making a livable wage. We are asking for just enough money to get by. A lot of people don't know how much teachers pay for supplies in the classroom, and for there students. Unfotenly we see this happening in poorer communities around the country.This is because of the lack of educational funding that those communities receive it's a strain on the teachers, teachers relationships with their families, and the future of the field. At the end of the day, a lot of teachers do not become teachers for the money they become teachers because it's a calling and the purpose that gives you the ability to help future generations and get back to a field that that gave so much to you. In the article “Who supports raising teacher pay?” We see who around the country supports the different reasons teachers should be payed more. This is important for teachers in an election year so many things are at stake. As a Teaching Assistant myself I do not make the salary a teacher makes. I make significantly less but i choice to work in the position that I do because I enjoy the field of education and want to continue to help the future generations. I do work two other jobs and I take 12 to 15 credit hours a semester and I know it will be worth it in the end but anyone in the field of education doesn't deserver this.
