In conclusion to my argument, that children develop greater through creative play rather than structure I
believe doing the following is the most beneficial. Children are so influenced by the world around them,
that having freedom in play allows for their own rules and regulations they make as they go. Children
grow and communicate at their own pace, but through play they are freely expressing their emotions,
communication, and mental developments. Allowing a child freedom and creativity in their own play can
allow “their world” to become a correlation to the “real world”, so when they face problems they can self
solve by what they have creatively come up with themselves.
Freely chosen play improves children’s
health, well-being and development, and
it can promote a healthier relationship between both the
caregiver and the child. Adapting to your child and their own developments they make can be
beneficial for both parties. As children create languages and motions themselves, a caregiver is
shown that and able to communicate with the child freely. With structured play a child may feel
overstimulated or anxious with the rules they do not understand. With free play a child puts their
anxiety or feelings into what they play at the time while regulating their own emotions. In
conclusion a child having more freedom in their play can really be a diverse learning adaptation
for them in their own development.
For my conclusion I chose the “So what?”strategy. My reason is because my paper synthesizes
points towards the significance of why play is important for children's development process.
After the reader is finished with my paper I want them to understand how crucial free playtime
is. What positive outcomes of play can not only have on the child but the child and caregivers
relationship. The reader will be able to embrace that free play is normal and healthy. That all
children benefit from this. I hope this helps current parents, parents to be, whoever has the
opportunity to watch a child develop and grow into the person they become. This is why the “So
what?” strategy fit my paper best.
