ensure that you are empowered as we grow our future leaders of tomorrow so that they can continue to promote the word of God and grow the body of Christ along their Christian journey. This essay will reflect upon how youth help to fulfill The Church as Body, The Church as Bride as well as The Church as Pillar and Foundation of the Truth. As Christians, churches will allow youth to be successful, and grow into well-rounded adults while building a relationship with Christ as they thrive in their daily walk when all elements are fulfilled within the church. The role and functions of the church are spelled out in 1 Corinthians 12:1-31. Most important, despite the many members there is only one body; each member is vitally linked to all the others, even those who do not consider themselves worth much (1 Cor. 12:20-24). This interdependence has built-in protections to ensure the safety and well-being of each. The interdependence comes into play when hurts and rejoicing are shared (1 Cor. 12:26). The Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, teaches us about how the body of Christ, the church, is made up of many parts. Many parts combine to make one body, baptized by one Holy Spirit. While we may not know what our role is, where we fit in, or what we are gifted in, we know that everybody has a role, despite our age in the body of Christ. Paul lets us know that there are no exceptions for we are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27 NIrV) And note, Paul doesn’t say that those who are young or have additional needs, are any less able to be part of this body. There is no distinction. Just as every part of the human body has a specific function, every member of the church has a unique role to play in building up the community (Grand Canyon University Overview, 2023). Therefore, the church as a whole body will be missing without youth ministry would lack future leaders, diminished cultural relevance, and missed opportunities that will help to foster a strong sense of community and discipleship among the youth of the church.

The metaphor of the church as a bride is a very common biblical and theological concept that is connected with Christian tradition. The concept has been known to describe the relationship between Jesus Christ and the collective body of believers within the church. The roots of the metaphor can be connected to the New Testament, especially for the writings of both apostles Paul and John. One example of imagery of the Church as a bride can be explicitly developed within Ephesians 5:25-27 with apostle Paul. "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless (Ephesians 5:25-27). It is through this particular passage, that Paul draws a parallel between the sacrificial love of Christ for the church and the love that husbands are called to have for their wives. In the expression concerning the the youth in ministry, several key ideas are included such as the foundational principles and motivation for all parts of youth ministry. Youth ministers have the privilege of guiding young individuals in developing a passionate and authentic relationship with Jesus, helping them understand their identity as part of the bride of Christ (Grand Canyon University Topic Overview, 2023). The teachings, values, and activities of the ministry must be centered around love, grace, and the teachings of Jesus. So, when it comes to youth ministry and it is covered by the love of Christ, one would believe that their works and activities are guided and supported by the love of Jesus Christ. As a result of youth ministry being covered by the love of Christ, it is a sign of sharing and expressing the transformative love of Jesus to the youth. The love of Christ is relational and youth ministry within the church should be focused on building meaningful relationships with young people. It
