1. Consider a simple ionic drive. a) If the drive field is 10,00OV/m what is the force on the spacecraft from a singly ionized charge being accelerated. b) Assume the electrical length of the engine is 0.2m. 2. Compare gravity versus electricity Gravity is a weak force, but has only one sign of charge. Electromagnetism is much stronger, but comes in two opposing signs of charge.
