During the late afternoon hours of May 31
st
, a wild tornado broke out, claiming several lives. A stalled front and mixed dryline caused thunderstorms to develop, initiating intense supercells, and traveled eastward into Oklahoma. Huge hail and heavy rains, leading to flash floods, also occurred along with the tornado. The storm lasted throughout the night.
Summarize the event narrative (outcome of Atmospheric event)-
approx. 3-4 sentences
Late May 31, a wide and complex tornado formed southwest of El Reno, and from there followed a lengthy path. It continued to increase in both size and strength, until it reached it’s maximum near the intersection of Radio and Reuter roads. At 6:42 pm, the tornado dissipated near the intersection of I-40 and Banner Road,
resulting in a total of 8 deaths and severe property damage. The winds of the tornado clocked in at more than 200 mph, leaving destruction in its path and also Scroll to bottom- All events for this episode section. LIST the 3 most reported severe weather events – column “type”
