PSYC 255 E SSAY : Q UALITATIVE R ESEARCH M ETHODOLOGY A SSIGNMENT I NSTRUCTIONS O VERVIEW In this assignment you will demonstrate your understanding of qualitative research method approaches and demonstrate current and correct APA formatting. In preparation for this assignment students will need to know and understand the course content up to and including chapter 9 in the Introduction to Research textbook, the assigned videos and presentations, and know how to find information in the Publication Manual . Be sure that you have read the assigned readings, viewed the videos and presentations, and understand the content and terminology. This is a major writing assignment in our course. I NSTRUCTIONS Download the Essay: Qualitative Research Methodology Template , save it on your computer and rename it so you can create a properly formatted title page using this phrase as the title: Qualitative Research Methodology. This will become the actual title page that you submit with this essay. Fill in the rest of the information on the title page with your information. Use current APA formatting for a student paper throughout this assignment. Include a title page, a minimum of three pages of written content, and a references page (follow the Essay: Qualitative Research Methodology Template). Begin writing your content on a new page. As you begin, re-write the title at the top of this new page, and write a brief introduction statement relating to the entire assignment. After writing your introduction, begin addressing the questions for this assignment listed below. Answer the questions listed below based on the information from at least two of the following sources: The research textbook, the course videos and presentations, the Publication Manual . Additionally, include at least one additional scholarly source outside of the course. Locate the additional outside source using search features within the Jerry Falwell Library. So, your total references minimum will be at least two sources from our course, plus one outside scholarly source. Introduce each of these four questions listed below with a brief, properly formatted level one heading. Write your answers in your own words. Use assigned sources as listed above. Include the in-text citations for your sources in each paragraph indicating where you found the information. Do not use bullets. Do not re-write the questions word for word. Use your own complete sentences.  What is meant by the term Qualitative Research? Cite your sources with in-text citations. Write a conclusion, including a properly formatted heading. Write a reference page. For this assignment, you will have at least two sources from within our course, plus at least one outside scholarly source as described in the instructions above.
