Discussion 5: Children and Adolescents Three resources for mental support that I have found to be useful in crisis, trauma, or loss situations are a webpage under the name of Child Mind Institute and Sesame Street In Communities as well To begin with, ChildMind.org (The Child Mind Institute website), 2021 is an outstanding online resource for caregivers and children who face emotional and behavioral problems alike to browse thorough after being frustrated by parenting books dealing on similar issues would absorb from reading does not meet their mental needs in other aspects of life. Therefore, Children can spend more time addressing it. It includes education about different childhood mental health conditions, tips, and tools for dealing with coping strategies, and connects users with counselors and support groups in their area. The website also has real children and their families, including their interaction. Sesame Workshop provides free materials under the name of, while considering them as the resources from Sesame St. in Communities (SesameStreetInCommunities.org, n.d.), designed to help families who find themselves experiencing difficult circumstances. Through activities, videos, and conversion action guides, they help parents discuss deployment, homelessness, trauma, etc, among other issues. Lastly, the Crisis Text Line (crisistextline.org 2022) is a free service that can be used through an app that provides constant support to those in crisis via text messages at any time of day or night. Moreover, for teenagers, texting can be less uncomfortable between the emotionality of people. Through trained volunteers, the service links texters to crisis counseling. Once a crisis is deescalated, follow-up checks are performed for further assistance. An individual presenting challenges like anxiety, depression, thoughts of self-harm, bullying, or relationship issues could benefit from this resource. Crisis counselors are present 24/7, every single day of the year. References

Observing tragedies at a young age can create a variety of emotional and behavioral problems among them. A teenager tries to come to terms with what has happened, but it continues negatively impacting their life, sometimes resulting in traumas. While the post opens correctly about not having appropriate support from adults one can trust and mental health resources, youth are more likely to suffer poor sleep or fatigue; their lack of focus, together with avoidance, may lead them to ideas of revenge. Hence, children must have access to confiding and reassuring support systems, which will help them adjust in healthier ways. Many organizations described in the post, like Eluna Network and the National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement, meet the important needs of youth who face grief, loss, or trauma. Camps and counseling services offered by Eluna aim to help children with addictions or grief problems. At the same time, schools recovering from tragic events have benefited a lot through outreach education and consultation that the National Center is providing for School Crisis and Bereavement. Similarly, one of the initiatives that SAMHSA addresses is a 24/7 Disaster Distress Helpline that provides immediate crisis counseling for those affected emotionally in relation to disaster events. Through the creation of safe and supportive environments coupled with evidence-based treatment, these organizations promote resilience and development in coping behaviors among youth exposed to traumatic experiences.
