Panic Attacks Although Panic attacks are sudden bursts of intense worry that can make you feel that you are about to die, they are not really life-threatening. Anxiety-related physical sensations become extremely intense. They are pounding hearts, racing pulse, and having difficulty breathing. They also cause even more anxiety which will intensify the panic. Panic attacks can occur at any time, even during sleep, and the fear is increased by the sense of losing control. These attacks can stop while they are happening even if they appear to be terrible and overwhelming. Children and Anxiety Out of eight children, one can suffer from serious anxiety. Their biggest concern is being separated from their parents. They also worry about a lot of things. The disasters and terrible situations that end up being out of control. Parents having arguments and planning to divorce could be another reason children worry about. Among other worries are about the large world that includes terrorists and the impact of climate change. When normal worries prevent you from sleeping, going to school, paying attention in class, or participating in group activities with others, they become serious. The rise of helicopter parenting is one of the major factors in the rise in the incidence of childhood anxiety.
