2 Behavioral and Social Cognitive Theories The three personality tests that I selected are 16 Personalities test, Testcolor, and Big Five Personality. I selected these as they gave me different perspectives of both the behavioral and social cognitive theories. This allows me to be able to think of the results in more than one way to assist in concluding about myself. 16 Personalities test The 16 Personalities test “incorporates the latest advances in psychometric research, combining time-tested concepts with robust and highly accurate testing techniques.” ("16personalities," 2011-2022). This test took about 10 minutes and went through a series of question regarding how you feel about certain topics. Once you have completed the test, it gave you a percentage score in five different areas. After you have viewed your score, you can click to read what category you fall into. I completely agreed with the results, which indicated that I was a logistician. I have often said that I tend to be very logical in my decision making and not very emotional about it. Once I commit to something, I follow it through, no matter what. Testcolor This one was a little different than the other two. It had you first picking the colors that you prefer from about twenty different options and had you select which ones you preferred most until you cleared the board. Then you did the same, but you selected which one you like the least up to what your favorite was. “Test color is the result of original research conducted and validated by a team of clinical psychologists, psychoanalysts and mathematicians.” ("Testcolor," n.d.). Once you completed the test, it showed four different results of the test with a percentage of where you fell in the category and what it meant. I was surprised that the results were very similar to the first tests; however, it was not as detailed.
