SKIl-6065 P11 Program of Study: Educational Psychology Social Problem: There is a gap for neurotypical and neurodiverse learners in post-secondary education. While steps have been taken to address academic equity related barriers, there are many barriers that are still present that impact academic and employment outcomes. Quantitative Research Problem: The scholarly community does not know how to effectively address the current academic equity gap between neurodiverse and neurotypical learners in post-secondary settings and the overall impact on post-graduation employment rates. Quantitative Research Purpose: The purpose of this quantitative pre-experimental static group comparison study is to identify academic barriers that impact neurodiverse learners in post-secondary in comparison to their neurotypical peers to reduce academic inequity and negative employment outcomes. Quantitative Research Question: What is the average grade point average between neurodiverse and neurotypical learners in a post- secondary institution and how does this predict employment outcomes? Qualitative Research Problem: The scholarly community does not know how to effectively address the current academic equity gap between neurodiverse and neurotypical learners in post-secondary settings. Qualitative Research Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative case study is to identify academic barriers that contribute to academic and employment inequity for neurodiverse learners neurotypical that have attended post-secondary educational institutions. Qualitative Research Question: What barriers exist in post-secondary education for neurodiverse learners and how do these barriers contribute to employment outcomes?
