BEHAVIOR CONFERENCE Taylor Henderson ECE 201: Intro to Early Childhood Behavior Management Colleen Murphy November 20, 2023
OBSERVING BRYSON I observed Bryson over the past couple of weeks. Bryson is a very creative kid who loves to build structures with foam blocks during playtime. Bryson has great qualities and is a fun-loving child. He also has qualities that need to be worked on, which is why we are having this conference. 20XX Pitch deck title 2
PROCESS OF OBSERVING BRYSON STEP 1: First, I make a checklist of behaviors to look for during the observation, such as: Did he share? Did he communicate with other children? Did he listen to me? STEP 2: Next, I hold the observation. This is where I collect data and record Bryson’s behaviors. STEP 3: Here, I analyze the data I receive from the observation. I will see how many times a behavior occurred. STEP 4: After counting how many times behaviors occurred, I make notes on if they are good or bad behaviors. STEP 5: After gathering and analyzing all the data, I made the behavior plan based on what strengths Bryson has, and what behaviors he needs to work on. 20XX Pitch deck title 3
CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS Bryson struggled with some things during the observation I held for him. One behavior Bryson struggled with was sharing. He would try to take blocks from the other children and tell them “no” to placing blocks on the structure. Once he was told that he should let the other children have a turn with the blocks, he was more inclined to share. 20XX Pitch deck title 4
