Hello Everyone, Welcome to week 2 discussion. From my experience in using the APA 7 th edition, The APA referencing style framework facilitates proficient intellectual discourse by aiding authors in presenting their views with clarity, precision, and inclusivity. APA Style enhances the clarity of works , addressing often complex subjects. Enhancing the readability and comprehensibility of writings is facilitated. Consistency in source citation and adherence to a standardized structure in writing contribute to improved coherence and facilitate the maintenance of attention to the paper, For instance, I could reference Sternberg, R. APA style also helps me to improve the author's research organization and enhance the reader's ability to locate pertinent material to assess such a study. Citation is a customary practice within academia that serves as a professional courtesy to recognize and attribute the contributions of others. By doing so, it also enhances the credibility of one's work (VandaBos, 2007). Nevertheless, For me, the use of APA formatting presents many difficulties when formatting a research paper. Among these obstacles, the most formidable feature of APA formatting is in the proper citation and composition of references. Particularly, including several authors in references may introduce complexity and intricacy to the writing process. A significant number of the articles had erroneous or unsuitable headers, characterized by either incorrect hierarchical placement or improper formatting. Headings are also challenging to format according to the American Psychological Association (APA) style guidelines. One of the challenges I encountered in formatting a document in APA style is the appropriate handling of headers. The reference page consists of several discrete citations, with each citation type (e.g., book, internet, journal article) requiring distinct instructions. An illustration of this may be seen in the formatting conventions for book titles, where they are often italicized and written in sentence case. Conversely, when referring to the name of a journal, it is customary to capitalize the first letters of each word, a style known as title case. However, the first step involves verifying the 5-level heading structure outlined in the 7th edition of the Publication Manual (Bradley et al., 2020). One potential approach to address the difficulty mentioned above involves acquiring knowledge and proficiency in properly crediting authors inside the references section. It is important to acknowledge that in academic writing, the author's name should be included first in the references, followed by the publication date and title (Mardin et al., 2020). I could also adopt each entry in the APA reference list with the author, date, title, and source elements.

Having different perspectives on the topic makes it easier to communicate how they must complete their assignments. We are often given a format, but unfortunately, they are not. I shared our format with them so they could plug and play rather than go in and set margins. Now, they know how to accomplish those tasks; however, sharing worked better for time and energy. APA provides a guideline of what is expected and examples (Perrin, R. 2014). After completing APA formatting over the year, it gets easier with time. However, I have experienced various versions and must remember the rules for the version I am required to do now. APA 7 is my favorite version at the moment.
