Thesis Statement + Eight References Assignment Description : In preparation for your final research review paper, you will create a clear and concise QSR thesis statement that outlines the focus of your paper. Alongside your thesis statement, you will compile a list of eight scholarly references that support your chosen topic. These references will serve as the foundation for your research review paper, ensuring you have a well-rounded selection of sources to analyze and synthesize. Part 1: Current QRS thesis statement: Question: How do the high expectations of Authoritarian parents have on their children’s mental health and learning outcomes? Thesis Statement: Authoritarian parents have high expectations of their children, but do they ever think about how much their child can take in and how high expectations and demands can have an affect on their mental health and the way they learn. For further guidance, please see the Sample Thesis Statement and Eight References document under our Content tab (Sample Documents). Part 2: References Compile a list of eight scholarly references that are relevant to your chosen topic. These references should be peer-reviewed journal articles, books, or reputable sources from academic databases. Do not include sources that are not peer reviewed (e.g., websites, news articles, blogs, trade books, etc). Make sure your references are listed in alphabetical order (with a hanging indent, double-spaced) in full APA style. Indicate the three or more studies you have already thoroughly read with an asterisk (*) .
