What is the purpose of this lab? Quantify aspects of performance via error scores and calculate differences in scores between external cues and self-generated cues . 2. What task are subjects required to perform? React to an external cue versus a self-generated start cue, and reaction time will be collected. Then calculate various error scores such as constant error, absolute error, total error/root mean square error, and variable error. 3. How many types of error measurements will you be calculating for this lab? 4 error measurements, constant error (ce), absolute error (ae), variable error (ve), total error/root mean square error (e/rmse) 4. What is the Dependent variable in this study? Score, or reaction time, in milliseconds. 5. What is the name of the lab in MotorLab? Error Calculation. 6. What is the target time? 2000ms 7. How many data collection trials are performed per block? 10 trials per block, 10 for external cues, 10 for self-generated cues. 8. What are the two types of start cues? External cues, self-generated start cues. 9. What type of statistical analysis will you be doing in this lab? t-test to determine whether there is a significant difference in personal scores between external cues and self-generated cue conditions. 10. What is the other name for Total Error? Root mean square error (rmse).
