Welcome to week 6! We are half-way through the course, how time flies! This week you have the midterm exam and some reading materials on eating, sleeping and elimination disorder. Make sure you review the materials for the week since these are included on the mid-term exam also. Exam will cover the following topics from Week 1 through Week 6 of the course relevant to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across the lifespan: . Child and adolescent psychiatric assessment Ethical and legal foundations of PMHNP care Prescribing for children and adolescents Mood disorders Eating, sleeping, and elimination disorders The midterm exam is due by Sunday at 11:59pm. This is a 100 item exam in which you have 2.5 HOURS to complete. No outside resources. One attempt only. This exam is a test of your knowledge in preparation for your certification exam. No outside resources —including books, notes, websites, or any other type of resource—are to be used to complete this exam. You are expected to comply with Walden University’s Code of Conduct . Looking ahead at week 7. This is the start of Module 3: Assessing, Diagnosing, and Treating Neurocognitive, Neurodevelopmental, Dissociative, Somatic Symptom-Related, Disruptive, Impulse-Control, and Conduct Disorders. Week 7 covers neurocognitive disorders, which describe diminished mental functioning due to causes such as brain injury and degenerative disorders, there is no assignment due week 7
