When it comes to group development it is the stages of life, and the Tuckman model gives an example. All the stages that are a part of the life stages are performing, storming, forming, and norming. When it comes to the stages of life, performing is when you have pride because the team members become one while leaving their emotions out of the goal to achieve it and making sure everything is falling in place. Storming is where you will get lots of arguments and hostility within your team, which can cause the team members to struggle. Forming is when there are assignments that include the team members. Norming is when all the team members find a solution to work as one while giving knowledge to one another. The steps fall in the order of forming, storming, norming, and performing, which all is presented in the 12 Angry Men - Original Live TV Version 1954. The forming stage started immediately once the video showed all 12 of the jury members. You can see in many of their faces that they don't want to be there, and even notice some mumbling underneath their breaths. Once everyone entered the jury room, some complained about the feeling in the room, how long the trial was, and they wanted the trial to go fast, and even one individual didn't take a seat when told. The space reminds me of when we were young and entered the classroom with many different personalities, minus the smoking in the room. The role presented in the storming stage was when the arguments came once the votes were cast, determining whether the 19-year-old was innocent or guilty, simply because one of the jury members felt like they should discuss their calls because someone's life depends on it. Norming began when the 12 men started discussing the details of the case. One of the pieces of evidence they presented to them for making their decision was a little girl saw the boy stab his dad, but it was impossible based on the angle, and she wore glasses but didn't have them on. Evidence was presented not only on the 19-year-old but also on the father, who was the victim. The final stage of performing was when the jury reached an agreement after reviewing all the evidence presented to them and giving a verdict. One lesson I've learned about leading a group through hard times is always to give everyone a chance to explain no matter how long it may take because after watching 12 Angry Men - Original Live TV Version 1954, there were many arguments for the evidence and facts. In the beginning, everyone was willing to give the young man guilty, but one man didn't agree with them, and it saved his life. This shows why it's important to let others explain themselves.
