On page 181, the author discusses how God would use the “Day of the Lord” as the means to destroy evil and purify creation. This is a clear example of how God will one day destroy evil. 2. On page 187, the author talks about the opening of the seals and how these are the judgements on this sinful world and the evil/wickedness that exists. This one of the final ways God will destroy Evil. 3. On page 189, the author talks about the assurance that Babylon will fall, and this is one more of God’s guarantee of the destruction of evil. Question 2: Give three examples from Scripture's Story , pp. 169–193, where the authors discussed the theme of God's restoring creation in Hebrews through the book’s epilogue . On page 190, the author talks about the final arrival of the new creation. Here the new heaven and new earth are finally created and through this God has finally restored his creation for the last time. 2. On page 171, the author talks about the Lord one day restoring all things and bringing the world back to its perfect state. 3. On page 177, the authors mention how the Old Testament believers had faith in the coming of the new creation. They longed for the “better country” which was promised by God. Our faith will not be in vain for the Lord will restore his creation. Question 3: Give three examples from Scripture's Story , pp. 169–193, where the authors discussed the theme of God's desire to dwell with his people in Hebrews through the book’s epilogue . On page 191, the author talks about God freely dwelling with his people in the New Jerusalem. Here we see not only a desire but God dwelling with us forever. 2. On page 177, the author exhorts his readers to cling to the grace of God and the hope that one day we will dwell with him in eternity. God has always desired to dwell with us and will by calling each of us home one day soon. 3. On page 183, the author talks about how Jude uses three different examples to demonstrate that God saves his own yet judges those who reject Him. God will save those that love him and through that we will dwell with him for eternity.
Question 4: What truth about God's character or actions stood out to you the most from the reading? How will that influence your walk with Him today? Page 191, The truth that I found that stood out the most is the fact that no matter what we will suffer though God for God, we will dwell with him forever. God has saved all of us and in the end we will be with Him forever.
