Christian belief is that the person is malleable and free to evolve, leading to a more mature connection with
God. Understanding the world as a creation, working with others, and—most importantly—pursuing God
are all necessary for the self's evolution (Wilson, 1970). There are many differences between Buddhism and
Christianity, but one of the biggest is that Buddhism is mostly non-theistic and rejects the existence of a
Creator God who establishes divine values for the world, whereas Christianity is a monotheistic belief
system based on a Creator God (
