1- Describe 3 concepts that improved, adjusted, or clarified your knowledge of the Bible. - This quote is very helpful and taught me something new in the bible. It reminds me not to always assume everything, which is a concept that the bible emphasizes a lot about. The bible explains the quote " Don't Miss the Forest for the Trees " (Cartwright, pg. 221), and it has helped me understand the bible way better from a different perspective. - This was an experience, for me. I had limited knowledge about the epistles and their narrative until I read the bible. When discussing the Bible with my parents, we usually focus on the chapters that are related to my childhood or school time. However, I learned that The New Testament epistles were written during the time of the church era (Cartwright, pg. 228). - I have come to understand that God is always there, for me and anyone who has faith in Him. While going through the textbook I also picked up some words that were new to me. In chapter 3 it was mentioned that the Greek term, for gospel (euangelion) which means good news. Paul elaborated on the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1 Corinthians 15;1–4 saying, "I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel, you are saved if you hold firmly to the word, I preached to you unless you believed in vain (Cartwright, pg. 216)." 2- Explain 2 ideas that you believe are crucial to remember when studying the various genres of the Bible and why these two ideas are crucial. - Studying anything is not simple unless you dedicate time to it. The Bible in particular presents challenges when studied, the key is to engage with it. After uncovering timeless principles that are applicable today it's beneficial to investigate where similar concepts may be found elsewhere in the scripture (Cartwright, pg. 225). - When delving into the Bible, for example, in Acts "Understand the story structure. Determine where your story aligns with the narrative of Acts and the church's inception. Recognize the backdrop, individuals, and events of the tale" This aspect holds significance in study as recalling characters and settings, from each narrative is crucial. To make retention more manageable, it helps to arrange everything and revisit it daily. 3- Show 1 way that understanding the various genres of the Bible could aid in Bible study. One effective way to deepen your understanding across genres while studying the Bible is by setting goals. This concept is explored in "The Question of Goals" (Cartwright, pg. 187). By considering whether the underlying principles of each command to pertain our relationships
with God or with others. Our actions should align with enhancing our relationship with God and fostering interactions with others. Therefore, incorporating goal setting, into your study of all Bible genres can greatly enhance your learning experience. rewrite this text by changing the order of the phrase with simple English words but keep the same context. using first person 1- In the passage of Acts 19: 11 22 Paul witnessed events empowered by God. Remarkable miracles took place, where even simple items, like handkerchiefs and aprons that touched him were able to heal the sick and drive out spirits. However, when the seven sons of sceva attempted to replicate these miracles, they encountered the malevolence of the spirits. This frightening revelation led jews and greeks to turn from idolatry and towards worshiping God. The core message emphasizes worshiping God spreading His teachings and steering clear of the darkness prevalent in the world. While we may stumble at times and give in to our weaknesses God urges us to seek him in prayer and follow his guidance. It is crucial to return to the lords embrace and stand firm against the forces that surround us. Should we fall short we can recall Gods love. How he can perform wonders through our hearts liberating us from influences. By maintaining a connection with the lord, you can find companions who share your beliefs and potentially impact others devotion, to God on a level. In conclusion in the verses of Acts 19;11 22 Paul experienced miracles from God. When others tried to replicate them, things went awry highlighting the importance of turning towards God from darkness. The core lesson is to honor and obey God listen to His wisdom and connect with Him through prayer. The boundless love of God has the power to set us free and influence those, around us. 2- Paul, due to his faith and obedience performed miracles through the guidance of God. In his writings found in the new testament, a noteworthy incident portrays God use of Paul garments, which had touched his skin to bring healing to the sick. Despite the potential for arrogance or pride, Paul remained humble. Did not boast about the events involving his clothing that were distinct from those of Jesus. The key lesson here is about embracing humility in ones character. In Colossians 3;12 14 Paul instructs the church on adorning themselves with qualities such as compassion, kindness, humility, inner strength, and self discipline attributes that are pleasing to God. Proverbs 22;4 emphasizes humility leads to wealth, honor, and a fulfilling life. Therefore, I must cultivate and maintain humility as I progress in my journey with the Lord. The Pharisees
