CRST 290-001 1 Book Analysis: The Questby Todd Wood Book Summary Certain topics in Christianity can be difficult to understand scientifically, even for well- educated Christians who seek the truth. The crossroads of science and Christianity are very complicated. Many people hold the belief that the two do not belong together and that science disproves the existence of an intelligent creator and designer; however, this book aims to debunk this belief and shed light on the situation. The Quest Book is a book written by Tod Charles Wood. It discusses the lifelong pursuit of the Lord and a deep thirst for knowledge and understanding of all of his creation. In this book, Tod discusses a new way of viewing creation and evolution through research analysis. This book aims to challenge the reader’s preexisting beliefs and encourage them to seek the true knowledge of how God’s magnificent creations came to be, fostering a transformative intellectual and spiritual experience. The second half of the book talks about the cruciality of science and research. It takes the time to closely look at and examine parts of the Christian Bible, as well as discuss very complicated and convoluted questions surrounding the topic of evolution and creation. Not only does this part of the book talk about research, the bible, and scientific questions, but it also discusses important topics such as pursuing Jesus, and the book encourages Christians to be kind to those who may disagree. Every chapter of The Quest Book encourages the reader to research both scientific studies as well as review the Bible and its teachings, all while using basic Christian principles and a biblical worldview. There seems to be a neverending amount of problems and troubling questions relating to and revolving around Genesis and the world that we now live in. Instead of being afraid of the questions and sometimes the lack of answers, the book encourages the reader to search for

The author of The Book Quest writes "We don't succeed by being content with where we are but by pushing forward to the next horizon. The hardest questions are the next horizon." (Wood p. 101) He is encouraging the reader to not be content with the information and knowledge we have. Sometimes the hardest question yields the most amazing answer just waiting to be discovered by those who yearn to learn and make new discoveries. The book concludes by encouraging the reader to learn more about God and to live a life following him. (415 Words) Notable Quotes "It's arrogant to assume you understand everything about the Bible." (Wood p. 81) -This was one of my favorite quotes from the book. It is an important quote because a lot of people like to assume that they do know absolutely everything about the Bible, especially if that person was raised in the faith. The true reality is that the Bible is divinely ordained, and it is more complex than we can or will ever understand. All we can do is try our best to pay close attention and learn as much as we can about the scripture. "Creationism is science, or at least it can be." (Wood p. 73) -This is an important quote because it discusses how creationism is scientific when researched properly. It is often assumed that science and Christianity do not, and cannot mix. This is just not true. God created the world and everything within it, therefore, he created science. No, science may not necessarily prove the existence of God, but it can support many patriots of genesis and creationism, and it certainly does not disprove the existence of an intelligent creator. Christians should stop seeing science as the enemy of
