1 Final Assignment Stephanie Daily Colorado Christian University INT-212A-25003-FA23 Mr. Harger November 12, 2023
2 Final Assignment “Honor Christ and share the love of Christ on campus and around the world,” exemplifies a biblical worldview (Colorado Christian University, 2023b). This priority is reflects a biblical worldview because we are to love and honor God. We are also supposed to love others and spread the Word. “Teach students how to learn,” also reflects a biblical worldview. (Colorado Christian University, 2023b) The Bible is a user’s manual to teach how we are to live and honor Jesus. CCU is teaching students how to study the Bible and apply the Bible in our lives and our studies. As Smith says in his book, we have been influenced to think that work is bad and leisure is good, therefore leaving us wanting to get out of work. (Smith, 2011, p. 31) However, Jesus calls us to work, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” ( NIV Beautiful Word Bible , 1973/2019, Colossians 23-24). CCU prepares us by teaching us not only the education we need, but how to apply a biblical worldview to it. I was excited about starting at CCU because I saw that they applied the Bible in their courses, but I didn’t realize how much more I would learn about applying the Bible to my studies and my everyday life. The instructors and class plans have made me think more in depth about Scripture and its meaning. CCU wants their students to succeed and grow in their studies and with Jesus. I The discussions are going to have the greatest impact of my education at CCU. I did an online class a few years ago that had discussions similar to the way CCU does. The biggest difference was it was not a Christian school. I dreaded those discussion posts and replies. I didn’t learn anything from them. However, at CCU I love the discussions and replies. In the biblical
3 perspective for section 5 it says, “Social action is an important facet of evangelical activism. People converted from inwardly selfish to outwardly loving doing things for other people, particularly for those who are in distress and need.” (Colorado Christian University, 2023a) While reading the discussions I can see the love my classmates have for others, especially those in need. I can see they have a heart for Jesus. I have learned so much from my classmates and we had some great discussions.
