In what ways are Judaism, Islam, and Christianity alike? Judaism, Islam and Christianity are all alike as they are monotheistic religions. Each three of these religions believe that there is only one God. Describe the difference between centralized and decentralized civilizations and give an example of each. The difference between centralized and decentralized civilizations is the unification of power and authority. In a centralized civilization, such as the Roman empire, citizens had power to elect officials who would be granted the authority to make decisions, compared to a decentralized system like the Japanese, which favored powerful land owning nobles. Name at least three causes for the decline of Classical civilizations. A few causes for the decline of Classical civilizations were a decrease in trade, spread of diseases, stagnate intellectual innovation and minimal cases of social mobility. Explain how trade networks caused Islam and Buddhism to spread. As trade networks intensified Buddhism and Islamic merchants would not only transport goods but religious ideas. This allowed Islam and Buddhism to spread throughout Afro-Eurasian trade networks. Identify a continuity that kept southern India unified despite disruptions after the fall of the Gupta Empire.
