Post a one-paragraph comment about why it is important for teachers to address students' learning styles. Post a second comment explaining your plan for integrating technology in the classroom to address learning styles: It is important for teachers to address students learning style so that the teacher has a better understanding of how her students learn individually. Learning styles vary, requiring tailored teaching methods. Understanding and practicing the best learning style is crucial for optimal results. Educators may also adopt the most suitable style, but this may not be the most effective approach. Without knowing, the adolescent may not comprehend what is being taught. Understanding a student's learning style is vital for both the student and the teacher. If a student understands his or her learning style, he or she may study more successfully and with less frustration. And the teacher would apply a teaching method that all students will understand. Technology enhances teaching by promoting critical thinking, learning new concepts, and creative expression, accommodating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles, even in traditional lecture- style teaching. Once I become a teacher, I plan on using technology in useful ways such as making PowerPoints, watching educational videos, having educational learning programs assigned to the students and much more. I would use websites like Kahoot, ABC Mouse, Adapted Mind, and education.com. With these programs I will have the students have an opportunity to learn while also incorporating a fun gaming experience. Using technology will increase my work and not be time- consuming, leaving more time for the students to learn. The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standard I would be addressing would be the learner, leader, citizen, designer, and the facilitator.
