2 Interview and Learning Resources Summary Interview Summary: I interviewed my older sister, Melissa Stallings. Mrs. Stallings is African American with Dominican descendants. She is 41-years old and is happily married with two children. Melissa is Chief Program Officer at a company called Byte Back. We conducted our interview in person and via telephone; I asked her a series of questions in which she kindly answered and provided me with background about the events. During the interview, we covered women’s studies topics on gender inequalities, work, motherhood, and societal norms. Learning Resources Summary: (2020). #MeToo is at a crossroads in America. Around the world, it’s just the beginning .The Washington Post. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/05/08/metoo-around- the-world/?arc404=true The #MeToo Movement is a social movement to raise awareness and support victims of sexual abuse. This movement has been globalized and has reached many women to speak their truth publicly about their sex crimes. The reading has multiple articles to discuss the protests and reasons for the #MeToo movement in different parts of the world. I will use this to explain how the #MeToo movement is effective for sexual assault victims and how it has supported her throughout her healing process when dealing with this traumatic event that occurred during her childhood.
