Description of the Issue The Canadian government's COVID-19 limits and vaccination mandates are at the centre of the present societal crisis. The demonstrations have highlighted a number of important issues: Nature of the Protests The majority of the organizations and individuals behind the protests are those who are against vaccination passports, mandatory vaccination requirements, and lockdown procedures. These organizations contend that these laws violate people's rights and liberties. Participants A wide range of people have participated in the demonstrations, including civil rights activists, anti-vaccine activists, and others who are dubious about government involvement in public health issues. Location and impact Protests have been held in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, and other major Canadian cities.
