2 Childcare interview I took an interview of my cousin; Vishali and she is a parent of a child of 2 years old. I took this interview on a phone call on August 28, 2023. I asked what she was concerned about when she gave birth and how she got a childcare facility. I understood that my cousin was concerned about SIDS which is known as sudden infant death syndrome. SIDS usually occurs during sleep and much more prone is an infant has low birth weight or any brain defects (Mayo clinic) When I asked her about a childcare facility, she said she got some help from the hospital where her baby was born. Vishali felt this one will be effective because the hospital had pediatric care and a safe environment for her child. She said that the hospital’s childcare system was safe which helped to prevent any injuries for her child. After this interview and my own research, I understood that well-being and safety of an infant is the most important factor when selecting a childcare facility. The concerns which are similar to the website Quality first AZ is the safety of the child and SIDS. When my cousin recognized the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), she wanted to make sure that the childcare facility prioritized safety while the baby is sleeping. On the website, they addressed for a secure sleeping safety and space for an infant. Nurturing and environment support for her child was also a concern she had, and supportive environment is something that was addressed in Quality first AZ website. Relationships and interactions from the faculty and caregiver gave my cousin a confidence for a positive approach. One of her concerns of safe environment corresponds with City of Tempe- kid zone in the quality first scholarship which helps the low-income family to afford a childcare, and this can be ideal for my cousin. Nurturing and supporting interactions which aligns with “All together now preschool and childcare”

3 Childcare interview programs can be supportive for the baby and addresses my cousin’s concerns. This research and the interview helped me understand a parent’s concerns and safety when it comes to selecting a childcare facility, how important it is for a child to have s supportive environment for a healthy development and growth.
