Culture Resources Presentations 1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziW5JG6GTHk Social injustice in education covers a wide range of things which includes "Government Funding For Education". If there is less funding for schools then that means that there will be fewer staff members, programs, and resources for students. With big budget cuts, this has caused teachers to spend their hard working money on school supplies for their students. The average teacher spends at least $750 each year of their own hard working money. 2. https://youtu.be/OXIw22_G4jw?si=xfEW2uClW09_QOz7 School safety has been a huge issue especially when it comes to mass shootings. There have been many debates on how to keep children safe. There were ideas for adult volunteers to step in with firearms to end all threats. However, critics said that if more guns were permitted on the property then there will be more accidents and injuries happening.
3. https://www.humanrightscareers.com/issues/what-is-social-justice-in-education/ Social justice in education can take two forms which can be social justice of equality in the education system. The second form is inequality in social justice in education which is known to many as "social injustice". Students that are not so privileged and have the inability to earn a certain amount of income can cause them to lack a well deserved education. 4. https://seis.ucla.edu/news/making-the-case-for-social-justice-educators-in-americas Technology in education offers students the ability to be more active when it comes to learning. Big budget cuts have lowered the availability of technology being exposed at school. The downside is that students that come from a lower poverty background are not provided with the exposure of technical devices as students that are from middle and upper class backgrounds.
