Report
Personal statement of anti-racist social work practice. Structural, systematic, and institutional discrimination and racism will not be tolerated. I will continually fight for equality for all races and ethnicities. I see all people as equal in fighting to change the concept and narrative of those who hold power. I will stand to enhance, encourage, uplift, and exhort those who need an advocate and voice to fight for their rights and basic life needs. As social workers, we will work independently and together as a group to eradicate oppression against those who are vulnerable, at a disadvantage, and exploited people in society (NASW, n.d.). The people I serve deserve equal access to resources, employment, services, and opportunities to meet their basic needs and promote social justice (NASW, n.d.). I am committed to promoting the well-being, the development of people, their communities, and the environment of all my clients (NASW, n.d.). I will be that voice of change in my hometown and all the way to the White House. Pursue the change, and you will find the change. Discrimination and Racism will not be tolerated.
