Hello everyone, My name is Mia Craig I am currently pursuing my bach- elor's in psychology with a concentration in foren- sics. I chose to pursue my bachelors in that field because growing up I’ve always loved watching CSI Miami and criminal minds. I always told my family I’m going to be a criminal profiler and here I am still loving everything about it. I love the idea of
learning how to analyze a person, learning a per- sona their thought process, what made a person snap, and what trauma did they face to make them snap. I would say that I am a very different human being. I don't have the same interest as most peo- ple in my age group. For example, some people I associated with like to go out to parties, drink, etc. On the other hand, I like to sit outside read a book, go for walks, and travel. I'm also a Christian while a lot of people I do know don't believe in God. Lastly, I am a very trustworthy person. Studying social science can have many benefits and provides valuable insight into human behavior, so- ciety, and culture. Studying social science can pro- vide valuable knowledge and skills that can be ap- plied to a variety of personal and professional con- texts. When studying social science we get an un- derstanding of human behavior, develop better crit- ical thinking skills, gain cultural awareness, can prepare for a variety of careers, and make in- formed decisions. Understand how social sciences relate to current events and contemporary issues is important because it promotes informed decision making, critical thinking, social change, and a mul- tidisciplinary approach to complex global issues. An event I would say that basic social science could have helped me better understand an event would be when we had the Covid19 pandemic. Basic
