12 Stages of Development
Life is broken down into several different stages. During those stages the body may change and develop. These stages include pre birth, birth, infancy, early childhood, and so on
until you have reached the point of death. In this essay you will learn about every stage of the
human development and their milestones.
Pre Birth The first stage of human development is Pre Birth. Pre Birth is the period, usually six months, preceding a child's birth. ("Prebirth | Define PreBirth at Dictionary.com," n.d.). Being that the baby is yet to be born it is still developing inside the mother, which you can physically see as the mother continuously

The child should be able to determine wrong from right and are able to perform more physical activities. This stage lasts from ages 9-11
Adolescence
Adolescence is the stage in which the child becomes a teenager and possibly learns the most lessons of life. This stage lasts from ages 12-20. During this stage the child is more worried about being accepted by friends and beings to be more attracted to the opposite sex. Major decisions made about one's future is made during this stage as well.
Early Adulthood In the Early Adulthood stage adolescence are now grown and independent. This stage last from age 20-35. Between these ages people become more independent and have to make serious life decisions. During this stage one should have chosen a career and may even decide to start a family.
Midlife
Midlife is the central period of one's life, usually lasts from age 35-50. During this stage a person's body is somewhat tired and will experience change. In this time frame some people begin to experience the common ailments of the elderly and women usually go through menopause. Some people decide to change their profession before they become to old and are unable to do so.
Mature
A child develops through its whole life. They can develop; physically, linguistically, intellectually, socially and behaviourally. “Physical development is the way in which the body increases in skill and becomes more complex in its performance” [Meggitt, 2000, Page 2]. Twenty five days after conception; the body of the chid has developed immensely from the small fertilised egg. Up to birth the foetus mainly develops physically however once the child is born the child then begins the long process of development. Not only do the gross motor skills and the fine motor skills develop on the baby, but the sensory development also widens on the child.
Physical development 0-3 years they are able to feed themselves at the snack table. Nod or shake their heads to say if they want something. If playing shops they should be able to push the trolley and walk at the same time. Be able to kick a ball independently. Showing control when pouring milk/water into a cup. Start making lines and circles when scribbles during mark making. Making bigger towers.
Adolescence is the transition period between childhood and early adulthood, beginning at about age 11 or 12 and lasting until around age 18. Puberty marks the beginning of adolescence. During puberty, hormonal changes happen in the body, prepare the body for reproduction and change the size and proportions of the body. As the body undergoes this dramatic transformation, major changes happen in the brain as well.
Adolescence is a time in which you are still with your family. You do not have to support yourself or worry about being financially stable. You are in some ways still a child. There are no big stressors in life at this time.
Adolescence is the developmental period of transition from childhood to early adulthood, entered at approximately 10 to 12 years of age and ending at 18 years of age (Hollingsworth, 2016). This time frame is marked with rapid physical changes such as dramatic gains in height and weight, changes in body contour, and development of sexual characteristics.
The stage of adolescence is a stage of emerging puberty. Boys and girls from the ages 12 and up are still finding themselves, confounding their bodies. Usually at this state of mind and body for a young teenager is
Transformation involves going through several stages of growth, change and development. There has to be a maximizing, or "completion" of a stage prior to moving on to the next phase. When the life cycle begins, there is a fertilization, or awakening of a new embryo, or fertilized egg. Its mother is the lifeline for the developing fetus, and it could not survive outside of the womb in the early stages. The womb is the perfect incubator to protect, nurture, and develop a growing
In our Health Science class, they challenged us to make a power point explaining the 12 stages of life. I never knew just how many stages it took our bodies, and minds to develop. At the point of pre-birth, we are just a blank canvas we can be changed into any type of lifestyle, but to me I find that once we are taught that changing is the hardest thing to do. Birth as always is painful but truly a blessing. No matter all the money, contractions, and hormones that are creating a tornado in your body once you hold that child it all goes away, and a since of peace is formed around your body. Infancy is such a wonderful and enriching moment that you, and your child get to share. You are able to instill so many lessons, and teaches in your child
Studies show adolescents age ranges from 12-19; transitioning from middle age and before adulthood (psychologytoday.com) The transitional period difficult for some. For instance, independence and self-identity, schoolwork, sexuality, drugs, alcohol, and social life. During adolescence years, the brain hasn't developed fully. Different hormones produced and the body begins to changed.
There are seven stages a human moves through during his or her life span. These stages include infancy, early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, middle adulthood and old age.
Later adulthood is the time after age 65 or the last segment of life. This doesn’t mean life ends, rather it’s a new beginning or a new chapter of your life. This is such a diverse age range. It can span over 30 years. Many things change during this stage in age. We are transitioning into retirement or partial retirement for the more adventurous ones. Our living arrangements may change and there are many relationship changes during this stage of life too.
The first stage, which is birth to two years old, basically states what I have stated in paragraph one. Children are learners of their environment. Also that after the child learns from his environment he will then apply those learnings to the outside world. For instance communicating with someone even if it’s just a word or two. The child is still showing that they are trying to apply the information they have learned and watched.
The adolescent stage is one of the critical stages of life. Adolescence is a time when many teenagers are struggling to determine where they fit in the world. They are going through puberty, meeting the changing expectations of others, and coping with feelings that may be new to them. They are no longer a child, but not yet an adult who face many difficult decisions to make the right things when their brain aren't fully developed.
Adolescence is the transitional period in a persons life time that links childhood and adulthood. The factors that influence development during adolescence include genetic/biological and environmental/social. There are many developmental issues that take place during the transition from an adolescent to a young adult. The issues of emerging adulthood(18-25) are characterized by new experiences, experimentation, exploration as well as new developmental tasks.
Adolescence is a period of physical and psychological development from the onset of puberty to maturity. The adolescent is no longer a child, but they haven’t yet reached adulthood. Adolescence is considered people between the ages of 13 and 21. Puberty is the physical maturing that makes an individual capable of sexual reproduction. Puberty is important to adolescence because when a child hits puberty, that’s when the child is becoming an adolescent. Puberty is a big part of an adolescent’s life.
