Life comes with swift transitions and I have come finally meet mines. The time has come to my 12th grade year and I have to leave my family alone and start planning for a bigger picture .I’m now excited to say that it's my time to start applying to some of the best colleges around the country.I’ve made great progress from my 9th grade year up to my 12th grade year. I started off making bad decisions now to being focused in all of my classes.I finally realized that I couldn’t get in college doing the the things I was doing ,so I made myself active with sports because that was a big drive to how I could do better. I am very unique in my own ways on my spare time I tend to work out and better myself and my body so that I can be healthy. At times I try to beat statistics and not be the typical type of “black person”. I disagree with the type of thinking I don’t believe …show more content…
I know people say you should always try to hang around people that’s smarter than you, but . I have a different mindset. I see it as if you are the smartest person in your group, you can help the people that chose to hang around you. When they see you are on the right track they are going to start moving along and thinking about how they can do this and that right with any situation. I have family member that are younger than me, So I have to watch what I say and do around them. Being positive and saying meaningful things around them would benefit me and them in the long run. A big philosophy to life for me is, “ Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard”. I use this quote with my books and my education that's why I don't give up on my gpa and I continuously work as much as I can. I’m not going to give up on where I want to be in life because of my past mistakes.Lastly, I would like for my life to turn out to be something positive and I would like to hear my mom say that she is proud of what I have
If Middle Football is Going to Last People Need to Get Their Head in the Game.
Junior High is a scary thought. You are little and going to school with the big kids. It wasn’t to bad after I got used to it.
9th grade year is the most important in high school in my opinion. 9th grade year determines if you will drop out or not. I believe how you start off high school is how you will conclude high school.
My little cousin, Ella Jane, is in the stages of transitioning into middle school. A “skill” that I have recently mastered. A process that no one knew could be so challenging. That’s why I want to help correctly guide her down the path of priorities, extracurriculars, and friendships.
Middle school: an educational stage which exists in most countries providing education between primary school and high school. I like to phrase it as the in-between stage of life. Middle school was not my finest stage of life, and it was, without a doubt, the most emotional stage of my life. Would I want to relive my middle school years? No, I would not want, but even though they were not the best, they served as a beneficial learning stage.
In this young, fragile stage of our young ones lives, they tend to copy what they see and what they hear. It is essential for them to be in a positive environment where they can learn the difference between right and wrong. They are developing their fragile minds and are starting to learn what is what. This is why we have decided to expand. These children deserve the utmost best and we tend on doing this.
My most vivid memory of intermediate school, was walking on the red carpet on the first day of fifth grade. At the time, I felt so grown up and mature. Come to realize, I was only ten years old. On the first day, I was so nervous to meet all of the new people that were coming from other elementary schools. Looking back, I shouldn't have been so nervous because I’m sure all of the other kids felt the same way. During those years, I met countless friends including Jayden, Makayla, Ali, Ally, Emily and so many others that I would still consider my friends.
My parents have said to work hard and do my best in school. I never understood why until I got older. The reason they told me to do my best in school was because they wanted me to think about school and my future. Both of my parents didn't get the chance to go to college. They both came to the United States looking for what most people come to the United States for ‘The American Dream’. They wanted a place where they could raise their children and find a stable job. Well what they had planned didn't work out. They found physically demanding jobs with low wages. I watched as they came home tired and stressed. Even through all the hardships they still maintained a positive attitude. They have pushed me to get better grades and to succeed in school.
Towards the end of my sophomore year I went through some personal problems that caused my grades to drop. It was unexpected and I was devastated due to the fact that I set out to reach my goal of a higher GPA that year. The shock of my grades only worsened the situation and slowly I began giving up. I maintained average grades with the help of my teachers and I set a few goals for myself. My goals included, a GPA of 3.5 or above, at least a 20 on my ACT, and to overall try to better my mental state. With hard work, I was able to raise my grades and have above a 3.0 GPA by the end of my sophomore year. The start of junior year was my chance to accomplish my goals, but I was faced with even more challenges. Same as before, my grades began to
First of all, middle school students part-time job meeting and learning conflict, thus affecting learning. If we go to work after school and vacation, there will be no time to attend to study, so students will learn less time. Besides, middle school students are easily confused by the material society, which will lead to the wrong idea of making money in the first place, which will lead to academic neglect. This is for the middle school students, it is to pick up the sesame and lost the watermelon!
The school rule “students must partake in extracurricular activity” is a significant disturbance to students whom are in their final year of secondary education. Extracurricular activities such as sports day and compulsory sport for the school produces an inconvenience to senior students whom have hoards of assignments to complete and tests to revise for. A better alternative to this rule would be to provide senior students the option of partaking in extracurricular activities if they wish to do so. This provides senior students with hours of extra free time in which they will be able to complete assignments and study for tests. In addition, the work load in year 12 is already a struggle for students to juggle and the addition of extracurricular
So it’s the start of senior year, and I got this assignment to write a High School Letter to myself. My first 3 years of high school were anything but “normal”. Still, the experience I’ve had and continue to have were very fun.
This year I am in grade 12, I have taken 9 courses in total this year. These courses consist of Biology, Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry, Life Drawing, Health and Nutrition, English, and last but definitely not lease is GLE. GLE is a class I have every Day 1 and Day 3, it switches between period 3 and period 4 on these days. This class has given me much time for me to organize; focus; and receive extra help. GLE also helped me pick and choose which University would be the best fit for me and which programs I am leaning towards.
Through the school years I have been to two schools. Some of my years were near-perfect but, others were a train wreck. I would have to say that my worst school year was sixth grade. Thinking back I have found many issues that lead me to think the year was a train wreck. First off, in the first semester I had an I.S.S. which stands for in school suspension. I regret doing what I did to earn that because it was as boring as a sack of wet sand. But as my wise 8th grade teacher Mrs.Moncada once said “You can make any choice you want. But, you are not free from the consequences that come with that choice.”
The Common School was established as an institution to help the elementary education in all aspects, as reading, writing, and arithmetic. In fact, the common school movement established the normal school as teacher-preparation institution, and elementary school of teaching for women. However, the common school was opened for all social level classes, and they focused more in a civic education. What this meant was the people were involved in their own self-government. Furthermore, the common school was divided in three part legislative stages. Permissive, encouraging, and compulsory, where the permissive stages were in charge of the organization for each single local school district. This encouraged a way to keep in charge of the election
