It was a beautiful summer day, and I woke up bright and early overwhelmed with excitement for my girlfriend Olivia and I to go to Cedar Point for her 16th Birthday. Olivia is an outgoing, entertaining, and funny person. I couldn’t ask for a better person to go with. We had been planning this trip for months and we both took off work so we could celebrate her upcoming 16th Birthday. As soon as I woke up I quickly took a brisk, cold, shower and got ready for the big day we had both been waiting for all summer. I put on my vibrant red Red Wings shirt, which was her favorite, grabbed the tickets, and went to go pick her up. My Dad is a big reason in how we got to go, because he agreed to drive us down there. During the ride there we slept in the …show more content…
It was a buffet style restaurant and was by far the best place to go eat at Cedar Point. You get anything you wanted! From fresh, crispy, salads to gooey mashed potatoes or spicy chinese food. The restaurant had everything! They even had Coke Freestyle Machines which let you make your own pop flavors. It’d been awhile since I had pop, so the taste of an ice cold coca-cola was extremely refreshing. After lunch we went and went on more roller coasters. Both of us were excited to go on the new ride called the Valravn but the wait was over 2 hours long. We decided to go on it despite the long wait in a crowd of loud, sweaty people. The wait surprisingly went by fairly quickly because we were able to keep ourselves entertained by playing games and cracking jokes. Finally the 2 hour wait was over, our feet were throbbing and we were anxious to experience the new amazing ride. We got buckled up and the ride blasted off. We felt the cool breeze in our face and heard the screams of our fellow riders. The adrenaline was rushing through my veins and I never wanted this feeling to stop. I was so happy to be here with my amazing girlfriend celebrating our 5 months
Photograph Three depicts several messages about teenagers in the 1940s and 1950s. First, it comments on the fashion choices of teens from these decades. In the photo, the females are all wearing a shirt or blouse, a sweater, and a skirt. The males are wearing a collared shirt with a sweater and dark pants. Nearly all of the people in the picture are wearing white socks, which may mean that there weren’t a lot of options for clothing color in these decades. Also, the girls have their hair cut at shoulder length worn in similar hairstyles, and the boys have their hair neatly combed. In addition to fashion trends, the viewer can see that magazines were a key source of information for teenagers. There is a wall behind the counter holding several
Since I was in a Jewish day school, I dreamed about having a Bar Mitzvah. A Bar Mitzvah is a Jewish tradition where a boy becomes a man in the community at the age of 13. Being a considered a “man” means that you are responsible for your own actions. It is also recommended to participate in holiday traditions. For my mitzvah project, I decided to donate sports equipment to Bautoon Middle School. This school is located in South Central, which is very poor neighborhood in Los Angeles. Unfortunately for the students of this school, they had little to no sports equipment. In my opinion, all children should have the luxury of being able to play sports. I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to the give back to this school. There are multiple

Early College High School at Delaware State University is a place to save time and money, and earn up to at least 60 college credits in high school. If I were to describe ECHS in one sentence, I would say that they move very quickly, but are very helpful. Although this school is very helpful there is a downfall, that downfall is that they are unorganized. One thing that made my 9th grade year here at The Early College High School at Delaware State University more smoothly was that some of my teachers had a sense of humor which made the environment feel a lot more positive and it made me feel comfortable that this school isn’t severely strict. Central to nearly every discussion about the progress and advancement that the United States has collectively enjoyed has been a question about the value and worth of human labor. Undoubtedly, one for the most resounding truths for the United States has been that the country has managed to find a dominant global status and domestic success due to the contributions of its citizens. Science, education, art, and all other industries have flourished due to the efforts of hundreds of people hailing from different backgrounds. Yet despite this historical precedent establishing the need for valuing the contributions of others, there continues to be a resounding national dismissal
I had already bought my ticket and was was getting scanned by the metal detector. Walking in was like getting prepared to get scared. The air was cold, gloomy, and had the weirdest clouds I have ever seen. It was like they made the clouds to fit perfect with the theme. All the rides were light up on the tracks with cool lights.I have never been to cedar point at night time. My friends and I went off to adventure the park by ourselves. I liked that more because their were four of us so if a ride had carts of two I could go with my friends Tj and the other two could go with each other. First we went to the ValRavn, the tall and fastest dive coaster in the world.
Junior High is a scary thought. You are little and going to school with the big kids. It wasn’t to bad after I got used to it.
I have with my fiancé James for 7 years and I always knew what I was getting for the holidays. It was a card and some money and even if I didn’t get the card the money was always there. My fiancé is the type of man that feels holidays is just another day and we should just be happy to see it. So, I just accepted the fact that this is what I was getting on every occasion. My neckless is my most valuable possession because my fiancé went out with the children to search for this perfect gift for my 35th birthday.
My Nana was a person who always claimed to appreciate the simple things in life: a hot cup of coffee, gardening, walking the dog, and the ability to laugh at oneself when things go wrong. For her 90th birthday my mother and I decided to plan her a surprise party under the premise it was just going to be the three of us, instead of two dozen family and friends.
Have you ever had a birthday that a family member had that didn’t go well, and ended up a really terrible tragic event or accident? If so, I am sure you know what this feels like when this happens. Well, that happened to my dad on his 38 birthday, it happened on 10/15/13. A tragic incident it was when my dad was going out to get some work done in the yard. Red leaves in the yard, the red flame when burning, the red ash it made when it was burnt to nothing. To rake the leaves on the ground, we have a huge yard. Covered the ground was with these leaves that were a red, orange, green, and a dead brown, burning leaves creating a ashy scent, and the leaves would crinkle in my hand if put pressure on it. Picking up leaves take a very elongated

After, I got off me and my mom got some corn dogs and Ice cream, and it was so cold and Delishis, butt out know where one of the seagulls got my Ice cream I was so mad I tried to catch the bird and then BAM it flew away.
In my honest opinion, the uttermost difficult part of being a teenager is planning ahead a successful life. High school years are one of the most prominent stages of your life. It determines whether or not you will proceed to college as well as what college you will attend. Getting into a superlative college, is another struggle countless high schoolers stress deeply about. Once you are accepted into the college you desire, another struggle you would be necessitated to do is find a well-paying job that would suffice your expenses. All of this constitute toward your high school years because if you do not achieve the required grades, you will not be able to enroll into a commendable college, which also means there is a high possibility that you
My faith had never waivered with God until the day I tore my ACL. I thought it all was going perfectly, my freshman year of high school. The most crucial year to set the social barrier, and the chance to establish a solidified reputation. My year was aligning so perfectly, you would almost think that destiny had mapped out my entire high school life. As a teenager, you never think of the bad things happening to you that you see on television. You never think of those what-ifs or aftermaths that could possibly occur, and change your life for the good or the worse. Though, that day, that day I tore my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), I did think the possibility of never playing basketball again.
All of my high school years have been structured to further my academic success in college. One goal of mine was to complete the STEM certification during high school. With this accomplishment, I have proven to myself that I will be well prepared to perform to the best of my capabilities in college. Being an engineering student will not be an easy task, but I have prepared myself the best I could to achieve my goals. Unlike many other seniors, I have chosen some of the most difficult classes our school offers so that I can better prepare myself for an engineering curriculum. This year, I wanted to receive a better education in all of the main STEM classes, so I enrolled in many AP math and science classes. In addition, I took a rigorous two week professional course in Autodesk Revit to prepare myself for courses that I will likely be using in my elective classes. I am hopeful that this will give me a head start with the classes I will take freshman year of college and afford me the opportunity for greater academic success as a college student. However, I am not counting on my senior year experiences to guarantee me success. Everything I do is to the best of my abilities. Preparation connects my life to success. Whether I understand a subject perfectly or if I’m
