It is easy to see that Abduction and The Book Thief incorporate different craft moves all throughout the story’s. The Book Thief uses craft moves such as symbolism, similes, and allusions all throughout the story. They are used to create a mood and tone for the text.
He does this with a sizable group of characters and various viewpoints from different groups to engage the reader and bring his story to life. The author’s use of primary sources adds another element to the reader’s ability to understand the factual happenings of the real life experiences the characters underwent. This method of engaging the audience is ingenious because it creates a consistent level of interest. Edsel is right to call it the ‘Greatest Treasure Hunt in History’ because of the brutal and burdensome work that when into this stringent mission and the primary sources used demonstrate exactly what the Monuments Men had gone through and the level of commitment that was put into what they were doing. However, despite it being a non-fiction narrative, Edsel elects to include small scenes of dialogue. This invention was not effect because these various passage did not offer a different dimension to the story. In the early morning hours of March 18, 1990, a pair of thieves disguised as Boston police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and roamed the Museum’s galleries, stealing thirteen works of art. The stolen works are valued at $500 million, which made the lottery the largest art theft in American history. There were 14 pieces of art that was stolen on the March 18, 1990. There is a reward of $5 million for information leading to the recovery of these works in good condition. No one has found out, it has been 25 years of theories as to what happened.

In The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Liesel Meminger is a young girl living in a very important part of Germany’s history, the Second World War. Liesel’s childhood unfolds and develops against the backdrop of a time when words, books specifically were used for power and control. Liesel is someone who has a love for reading and, as such, books become very important to her, not only for her education but for her rebellion and discovering her true identity. Throughout the novel, books become a crucial symbol used to convey the desires and discovery of identity for the main character as her childish ignorance changes to her mature adulthood.
The Art Thief by Noah Charney takes place in multiple settings in different places in the art world, from Italy to a French based society that tracks the works of the Russian painter Malvich, to England, to New York. Two detectives are always in the setting of a nice restaurant, another is a professor’s tour through a museum. With each setting comes a different tone. Overall, the tone of the novel is straightforward and serious, but with room for humor and a bit of suspense. A separate aspect of thee tone is more prominent with each setting.
Through all of the irony and vivid coloring, The Book Thief is more easily understood after acquiring knowledge of reading literature with greater care and meticulousness. In Chapter Two, Foster explains how meals suggest a communion between all parties involved in it. Markus Zusak also uses meals and food to bring families together in The Book Thief. Foster also explains, in Chapter Eleven, how violence in literature usually stands for more than just violence.

We can interpret that its taken place after because in the texts it says “’Hate for everything in the Past. I ask you, Tom how did we get in such a state, cities all junk, roads like jigsaws from bombs and half the cornfields glowing with radioactivity at night?’” Specifically it takes place in a town square, as it says in the text, that we assume is in Europe because the painting, Mona Lisa is currently held in Europe.
