President Obama came into office in the aftermath of the disastrous foreign policy record of the Bush administration. The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 had served as a “switchman,” leading to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Bush administration exercised unilateral use of force and reluctance to engage the international community. As a result global elites and publics viewed the US unfavorably. The US economy was negatively affected by the costs of the wars coupled with the financial crisis of 2007. It was this environment that defined the contours of the election campaign of 2008. Obama campaigned on the idea of change, which represented a regeneration of America through domestic public policy reform and a return to multilateralism in foreign policy. Both domestic and international publics and elites were galvanized by Obama’s message.
In 2000s, the 9.11 attacks triggered the Iraq War because of the suspicion of massive destructive weapons; and, America employed an overwhelming military force to defeat Iraq. After the war, an international opinion poll indicated the declining popularity of the US and skyrocketing the anti-American sentiment among Middle East countries and Islamic regions since the policy conducted aftermath in Iraq was consolidated by America’s devastating hard power. Additionally, terrorism campaign derived from anti-American sentiment and its damage were making the US weaken. It is possible to say that 2000s was significantly the era of antipathy against the American military force; hence, the US compelled to reconsider their aggressive policy in world politics. Should the President of the United States have to be born on United States soil?
The word on the hill is that if Republicans don’t cave and fund Obama’s DHS amnesty scheme that they will be blamed by the people and pay for it at the polls. Where have we heard that before?
On Tuesday June 28th, president Obama attended the North American Leaders' Summit with Mexico’s President, Enrique Peña Nieto and Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau as the leaders of North America. Why did the three leaders stand together? The plot to the summit was for their ambitious new pledged. The three leaders further harmonized trade to boost clean energy production. Moved and turn into a thesis. Can we stay unified after Obama is out the White House? Will it be possible to continue unification as the United States faces the challenge of Brexit, strong presidential leadership as we near the presidential election?
It has now been one year under the Trump administration, and it doesn’t very good for them a grade was to be given. While Trump may see it differently, many people see Trump’s victories, as of now, not very influential or impacting. If anything, Trump and his team seem to finally get things moving once again, but it would seem that for many, it was too little, too late. And yet, this is not what makes the Trump administration so interesting. Rather, it is because of the fact that in the past, there was another president would have faced the very same ideals and political stances that our current president follows, and that very president was Ronald Reagan. However, the biggest difference that the two have would be the procedure that the two
Today, the president election is becoming very intense. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton both tried their best to win the election. Because of Trump’s big words, more and more people now are wondering that if Obama can be the president for another term, like what Franklin Roosevelt did. So, is it good to have a president who will be elected for three terms? The answer is definitely no. I think it will not be a good idea, even if the congress approves.
When there is darkness there is light on the horizon. People may believe that President Trump will be somewhat of a war hawk when it comes to maintaining or even growing the United States nuclear arsenal. However, history has shown us that presidents may not be as hawkish as they are perceived to be. “United States President Ronald Regan became the unlikely champion of the nuclear disbarment agenda.” (Futter 176) Some say that Regan took a risky and aggressive posture towards the Soviet Union a few years back.
Barack Obama’s use of presidency is a controversial topic even as his final term is coming to an end. Obama went to great lengths to get what he wanted accomplished during his two terms. He did this by using executive orders. Executive orders are controversial because they are not specifically allowed in the constitution. Obama accomplished many great things using the different powers granted to him during his presidency.

Undeniably, there are many Americans who disapprove of our current President. Some people have even become very vocal about him. Subjectively, I voted for President Trump. I am not a really prominent supporter of his either. There are viewpoints of his I really like, a few I do not genuinely care for and others I find very comical. I am not here to judge anyone. I get it; I recognize it, and I respect it. People's opinions are what make for a legitimate debate. I relish it. I listen to naysayers, supporters, lovers, fighters, and even haters. I listen to them all. It does not matter if one person thinks another person is smart, stupid, ignorant or even dumb. In my opinion, you can always learn something from someone else. I do believe in standing
