“To Kill a Mockingbird” is the book which gives us the perfect view of prejudices that were present in the South of the USA at the beginning of 20th century. What interests us the most is whether these prejudices managed to find their place in today’s world. On one hand, there are people who believe that those prejudices are the thing of the past. First of all, in today’s world every individual, regardless of color of their skin, political views or gender, has the same rights that cannot be taken away. Furthermore, racist or misogynist statements that were once considered normal are now considered a hate speech and are even punishable by law.
