The single best day I had has a child was when my mom said that she had a surprise in mind for vacation. She didn’t say what it was but said that my brother and I would love it we took a long drive to St. Louis, Missouri to visit the Gateway Arch. This was an unexpected surprise visiting a museum it was a great time waster but my mom said that this wasn’t the surprise. The next day we went to the big surprise which was Six Flags. The first thing that we did there was visit the water park which had a multiple attractions that you had to at least try all of them. Then we went to the Main Park which had of kinds of rides my favorites being the Batman ride and superman ride that they had. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and the single best
How I join the Army National Guard, was kind of crazy My friend name Rico campbell had told me he was about to join the Army National Guard and they were offering a $20,000 sign on bonus. I stated “do you know what we can do with all that money”. We Both went to a recruiter Name SFC (Sergeant First Class ) Tim Thomas he said “ what do you want out of life” both of us promptly replied “ I don't know”. I join The National guard that day but my Friend Rico nevered joined. After I join and Sign all the necessary paperwork SFC Thomas said “You are going to Iqra in may !”. At that time my heart dropped out of my body.
We were in the streets of the neighborhood, Ann Elizabeth to be exact. We had just began to play a game of baseball with my brothers new metal bat. Mom had already left for work and my dad was getting ready to leave as well. He was running sort of late. My brother and I were about to start the game, we check around us to make sure no one was near us to play a safe game. We saw our little sister and brother at the front doors neighbor's house playing with their daughter last time we checked. As my brother threw the baseball, I was getting ready to swing then bam! Before I knew it the bat had already crashed into my little brother's head. Let me remind you that this was a metal bat. A metal bat had ran cross my little brother's head. I was so terrified. My little brother was only 4 at that time. I did not know what to do. I held him in my arms. He was still conscious. I was holding my hand over his open wound. He bled a lot. My other brother had ran to let my dad know. My dad came rushing outside,
If your teacher is really nice to you and all the sudden they are rude the next day. Well it is just because they are having a bad day. It doesn't mean they don;t care they just an’t happy at the moment. Other kids probably have got on the teachers nerves then they just got in a grumpy mood. This is what I think the next day will be a better day then the last.
Thank you so much for your patiently waiting on this. I will defiantly consider you 30 day notice to be the day that you first were asking on the change in enrollment. Thankfully I do have the ability to make the care that you need flexible. At this time of year enrollment doesn’t tend to change much, so even if the contract is canceled, I am positive there will be spots available to Clara and Caden, whenever needed.
Every single day I have to ride my bicycle throughout the city of Miami. The perks I would say is that it is safer for the environment by causing less pollution in the air and I get a good cardio workout every day. The negative outcome of not having a car however is that I almost get hit or what feels like killed every other hour on the street. But how the person perceives this situation is really what is at hand. I take the time every once in a while and stop near a park or by a lake and just admire nature in its vast beauty and how truly wonderful it is to be alive, most people do not see how much of a blessing it is to just wake up every single day and being healthy. Having to worry about the weather is another issue that I have to be constantly worrying about, but thankfully at the end of the day it is just a little rain, unless it is a tremendous storm which dramatically increases my chance of being killed while riding my bike.
Wooden (qtd. in Baer) states that "success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming". Many students end up taking classes that they do not necessarily need or classes that are hard for them to succeed in. The result in not being able to drop a class within the certain time period results in students receiving an W (withdrawal) on their transcript, which not only affects their overall GPA, but may even eventually lead the student to end up on academic probation. As a junior at Cosumnes River College I think it is very important that the drop date for classes to be extended to a 3-week time period because students end up taking the wrong courses, there would be no negative affect on mental health, and most importantly students would have a higher chance of success.
It was a normal Wednesday afternoon, english class had just ended and I had only a little homework. I met my friends like normal during break, but when I was walking to my fourth period spanish class I started getting a splitting headache, as if something was trying to push through my skull. I was trying to pay attention, but I still had the headache going on, refusing to relieve me of my pain.
The Battle of Normandy. Operation Overlord. The Longest Day. D-Day. The date June 6th, 1944 is acknowledged by many different names, by many different people, but it all comes down to one thing. That the biggest amphibious invasion of beaches, Codenamed Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword, were very crucial in ending World War II. Approximately 156,000 allied soldiers landed all along these beaches and fought and died to liberate France. Sadly 4,413 allies died doing this. But to most this was worth it and everybody thanks the men for their sacrifice. Thanks to them, we didn’t have to see what could have happened if we didn’t proceed with the plan. Without the invasion we have no way of knowing how the war could have played out. It may have
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to track your food for 14 days? I did just that. I believe most of us live on a day to day basis tracking what we eat, how many calories we intake, and so forth. However, sometimes the reward is not at the end of each day; sometimes the reward it is at the end of a lengthened period. Using the My Fitness Pal app on my phone and computer I could effortlessly track what food and nutrients I ate during a 14 day stretch. The app did all the work for me and I highly recommend trying it out. It is very accurate in the amount of each measurement it lists. At the end of 14 days I observed specifically but not restricted to total number of calories, sodium, sugar, and protein and compared each number to the DRI recommended daily intake
February is the second month of our year and is the sabbat Imbolc. It is named for Februus an old Italian god, and Februa which was a time the romans set aside for their purification celebration. This month contains only 28 days and each 4th year 29 days. All other months contain 30 and 31 days. February's birthstone is Amethyst and the flower is the primrose.
The most rewarding aspect of the medical field is at the end of the day, when you have given all you heart and soul in the process of helping a patient feel better. The smile that is fixed on a patient’s face at the end of the day is very satisfying to a nurse. I have been a licensed practical nurse for 30 years, and I presently work at XYZ Home Health Nursing Agency. My duties consist of going in to the patient home and adhering to the medical orders that has been transcribed by the medical doctor. In addition, I am responsible for making sure that the patient takes their medications as ordered by the physician as well as keeping scheduled appointments with the primary care physician. I work with knowledgeable, a well-developed, health
October 9th 2012. It started off as any normal day for a couple of sophomores in High-School. My best friend, Chris, was kind of a big shot on the football team even only being a sophomore. That day after school I went to my regular shooting practice for basketball while out on the practice field Chris was in football practice. I can remember the exact hoop and exact spot I was shooting from when the JV football coach came running in so out of breath I thought he was going to pass out. When he spoke I can remember chills going down my back. He said, “Chris just collapsed on the field and nobody can find a pulse.”
See what I mean, this weekend went by horribly slow. We really need to do something about a Three day weekend. Students would get more sleep. We have more time to prepare for a possible test the coming monday. We´d have more time to do homework that was maybe assigned over the weekend. We would have so much more time to spend with our friends and family. The teachers would get more time to prepare for lessons throughout the week.
February twenty-third 2010 was just a regular ordinary day. I was on my way to class on this cold February afternoon, when my phone rung. It was my cousin on the other end telling me to call my mom. I could not figure out what was wrong, so I quickly said okay and I hung up and called my mom. When my mom answered the phone I told her the message but I said I do not know what is wrong. My mom was at work and could not call right away, so I took the effort to call my cousin back to see what was going on. She told me that our uncle was in the hospital and that it did not look good. Starting to tear up I pull over in a fast food restaurant parking lot to listen to more to what my cousin had to say. She then tells me to tell my mom to get to
