I decided to do a research on a foundation called 4h. The words head, heart, hands, and health are the 4 keywords that the 4-H organization founded its core beliefs on; These words are symbolically written on the 4 leaf clover which is the symbol for 4-H. The founder of 4h was a country schoolmaster and agriculture extension pioneer at The Ohio State University whose name was Albert Belmont Graham. A.B Graham was born in 1868 near Lena, Ohio, and died in 1960. The 4-H organization started in a young boys garage in Clark County, Ohio in 1902, and now kids and young adults are participating in it all over the world. Albert B. Graham was born on a farm in Champaign County, Ohio, on March 13, 1868. His parents, Joseph A. and Esther Reed Graham, had married the year before he was born and a year and a half later they had his sister Leticia. At 17, A.B Graham graduated from Lena-Conover School then became a teacher for two years receiving a salary of $320 a year. He got married on August 14th, 1890 to his lover, …show more content…

Doing projects and showing animals are a great way to help kids feel more comfortable meeting new people and talking in front of groups. 4-H members build leadership by electing officers and conducting their own business meetings. They also learn to work together on community service activities, meet new friends, and most importantly have lots of fun. In conclusion, the 4h foundation Is a great program for anyone ages 5 to 21. It helps youngsters learn life skills by doing small projects with a group of 5 or more. Starting each meeting with their motto my “HEAD to clearer thinking, my HEART to greater loyalty, my HANDS to larger service, my HEALTH to better living, for my club, my community, my country and my world.” All over the world kids are becoming better citizens doing hands-on activities getting prepared for their
