My artifacts focus on being fair and honest to all students and staff. My school has developed a system that applies to all students and no one is treated different in this situation. Student referral sheet is a form designed to inform parents and teachers of the bad decision student have made. It is a form that is given to all students who break the rules. This form is sent home and a parent must follow the necessary steps. The parents have then been made aware that we are holding students accountable for their actions and teaching the life skills at the same …show more content…
It is essential that schools have programs in place that will help then be responsible and learn integrity. It is important that students learn how to be successful and learning the meaning of honesty. Learning what this meaning will help them develop the life skills they need in order to be successful in the future.

Effective planning involves feedback from the community, clients, and staff, outlining plans, setting goals and strategies that will guide the program on a productive course. Program planning involves gathering information, making recommendations for a plan, and working with others to develop a plan. Next is to provide funding sources with plan goals and objectives to
All students are held to the same standards and are responsible for their actions I can expect to be treated with the same respect and honesty I give others. Because the standards are the same for all students any dishonest or immoral activity committed by another student witnessed must to be reported to the faculty of the IU Kelley School of Business as it is my duty to ensure the integrity of the school when accepting the Kelley Honor Code. Reporting these actions would be an obligation and failing to report these actions would be a violation of the code of
I have built this because in SPH-F180 (Youth and Families) class, I wrote the portfolio paper. And it includes my ideal professional development plan.
We all build strong relationships amongst our students and ourselves. Everyone works well for the benefit of all who come through our doors. Our longest working staff member has been here nineteen years, but we also have a couple of first year teachers starting out. The gender balance is nine males to twenty-one females. Our professional development is focused on our main district initiatives, which include: AIW (Authentic Intellectual Work), IPI (Instructional Practices Inventory), TLIM (The Leader in Me), Technology Integration, and Iowa Core. We have professional development time every Wednesday from 2:10-4:00. Professional development is a mix of building and district wide meetings.
A solution has been proposed to raise values of honesty and integrity within a student body. The solution is the establishment of “Honor Codes”. It is said in Source that the success of the honor codes depend on the student body. Cheaters will encourage cheaters or honesty will win. I deeply believe that schools should establish the honor codes because they will set up an educational environment with better student-teacher relationships,

The principle of academic integrity stretches beyond the limits of a classroom. Good students are honest with themselves, their professors, their roommates, and their community.
Honor codes, or sets of regulations "intended to cultivate integrity" have been brought to recent debate. Several educational establishments are initiating a culture of honor codes within their schools. My own school, Sheyenne High School, has such honor codes requiring that students have the responsibility to be honest in their schoolwork. However, disunity over these codes have brought to question whether the codes are honorable or improbable. While at first glance, honor codes appear responsible and promising the unfound skepticism of students brings to light the confusion and doubt of their ability to rewrite student life. Honor codes have been implemented in my school over the past several years, but these codes must be revised to ensure
In an effort to maintain trust, transparency, and professionalism transparency among the players, parents, and organization, communication serves as the main platform. Both verbal and written plans and expectations are necessary to adequately inform each individual. At the start of the program it is necessary to verbally explain the expectations of the player, the parent, and the organization, as each individual has in impactful role in ensuring the success of the program. This will be supplemented with written expectations and agreements as well as the program’s agenda. This ensures that parents know what their child is learning, the children know what to expect at practice and individuals within the organization are held accountable for following through with the completion of set agendas.
Achieving a school district’s mission and vision requires the commitment of its stakeholders. In order to involve them in the process, it is necessary for educational leaders to “motivate staff, parents, students, board and community members” (Educational Leadership Constituencies Council, 2002, p. 4). The transformational leadership theory emphasizes the importance of educational leaders acting as role-models in order to motivate and inspire the school community. This approach has the potential to involve all stakeholders, leading to increased student success (Bush, 2007). The Assistant Director of Special Education in Northwest ISD directly supervised the school district’s assessment staff. Her education, experience, and passion set an example for her subordinates, stimulating them to achieve more, leading to her promotion to Executive Director of Student Services.
In what ways do parent and student feedback impact plans for Professional Development? Parents are also teachers of their children. If honest feedback is given to parents, they too can become active mentors and sources of knowledge and training for their children 's professional development. Professional development starts from home with parents who also try their best to give what are best for their children and among them is being parents who teach moral values to their children to become better and responsive individuals.
Professional development principles Ben embraces are Rigor, Relationships, Relevance and Realness. Mr. Rhodes continually emphasizes that work needs to have relevance and rigor in assignments and that the relationships teachers build with students is essential for success. Specific content used for staff development goals are Glenn Singleton’s work (Equity), National Achievement Gap, High Performing Schools, 90/90/90 Studies, 21st Century Skills, Marzano’s Instructional Strategies, and Heidi Hayes Jacobs’ literacy work. A variety of activities for teaching new skills to teachers occurs throughout the year. These include study groups, guest speakers, ERO (staff development classes), open classroom visits, master teachers sharing best practices in literacy, differentiated instruction, , math, and culturally responsive teaching, conference opportunities, mentors, district content area inservices, building inservice days, monthly district content area meetings, partnerships with universities, Collaborative Action Research for Equity (C.A.R.E.) cadre, and monthly building equity meetings. Mr. Rhodes uses the district Teaching Learning Cycle (Plan-Teach-Monitor- Adjust) to evaluate and assess the learning goals and make improvements. Ben also meets with Ben and the leadership team about the goals and creates the timeline to provide training and analyze progress. Evaluation of the learning goals using the SIP (as a living document) and individual goals are important

A school-wide staff development program is an essential blueprint for improving and maintaining student success. Consequently, for administrators to achieve high levels of success, they must actively use a staff development plan to guide decision making around instruction, and resource allocation.
