7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, what is that suppose to mean? In each chapter of this book they’re describing different habits of teenager’s lifes. All seven habits are; be proactive, begin with the end in mind, put things first, think win win, seek first to understand, then to be understood, synergize, and sharpen in the saw. In this Self-help book by Sean Covey, this book was written to self-guide teens into right directions of success. Quoted from Simon & Schuster review of 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, Covey provides how this book “helps teens improve self-image, build friendships, resist peer pressure, achieve their goals, and get along with their parents, along with tackling new challenges of our time, like cyberbullying and social media.”

To sum up Chapter one, chapter one is about Paradigms and Principles. To begin, A Paradigm is a perception or a point of view on a certain matter.For example, what this means is that if you go to a race for track and have the mindset that you’re going to lose, that attitude will be engraved into your brain and this will give you no confidence at all. With this chapter being about Paradigms and Principles, principles are fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning.
