September 11th, 2001 is now a date discussed in history lessons. While the post-9/11 generations may not have witnessed the changes of this tragic event, which rapidly filled every crevice of US society, they have an entire generation ready to narrate what they witnessed on and after that day. The expeditious reaction made a permanent mark on American culture.
September 11, 2001, millions of New Yorkers and American citizens woke up and started their day, unprepared and unaware for the catastrophic attack that would be taking place in just a few short hours. At 8:46 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower. The impact killed all of the passengers and crew as well as hundreds inside the building. At 9:03 a.m., a second plane, Flight 175, crashed into the corner of the South Tower killing passenger, crew, and workers who worked on floors seventy-five to eighty-three. Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m. killing approximately 185 individuals (History.com Staff). Because of the damaged to the support system, fires, and impact at extremely fast speed, the South Tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m. (Lipton and Glanz). Having heard about the acts of terrorism that had just taken place in New York and Washington, D.C., a group of passengers drove their plane, Flight 93, into a Pennsylvania field killing everyone on board but possibly saving hundreds of other lives in the process. The North Tower collapsed at 10:28 a.m. 102 minutes after being struck (History.com Staff). On September 11, 2001, almost twelve hundred people were wounded or killed by “coordinated suicide attempts” by Al Qaeda terrorists. In result to the four airplanes being hijacked and used for premediated reasons, the United States government instituted new regulations for entering the country and airport security as well as expounded on systems already in place.
George W. Bush once said that “Our enemies have made the mistake that America’s enemies always make. They see liberty and think they saw weakness.” 9/11 was a devastating day in American history. Men, from the terrorist group Al Quada, attacked America on their own soil for the first time since Japan attack us at Pearl Harbor. But there are some things we can isolate from it. The basic overview of it. What were the terrorists doing to get ready for the day, and what was their major purpose and intention.
Using the concepts of security, terrorism and risk learnt in this unit, critically evaluate the record of global counter-terrorism measures since the 9/11 attacks.
When the towers were attacked early in the morning, my family and I were having a normal morning. We were waking up and you were three months old so I was focused getting you up for the morning and getting you changed and ready for the day. At about 7 in the morning, I turned on the news and saw what happened right after the first plane hit so I went to wake up your dad and told him what happened and he came out and we started watching the news. Minutes after the first plane hit was when the second plane hit and that’s when I knew that it was a terrorist attack and it was an event that i’ll never forget and it changed me and changed our country that day. Soon after, your dad and I realized the severity of the situation
Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001 was a day that no one will forget. I decided to write it out what happened to my family that very day in my mom’s perspective to make it easier to understand. My mom was in Pleasant Hill, CA and decided to skip that day of work because my older sister was sick. Madeleine, my eldest sister, was two at the time. Early in the morning a family friend of ours, Janet, called my mom asking if she saw what was happening. Janet said,” Jeanne the twin towers are on the ground, turn on the news!” My mom was so tired from staying up all night because of Madeleine that when she heard what happened she didn’t belive it. She quickly turned on the news and it replayed the airplanes hiting the twin towers and falling.
One of the most known and worst events occurred on September 11, 2001. Terror attacks occurred in the United States of America in the cities of Washington D.C. and New York City. An Al-Qaeda terrorist group organized this attack by sending terrorists on four different airplanes to crash into the World Trade Center in New York City, and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center, while another one was targeted for the Pentagon. Although one plane hit the Pentagon, the other went off course and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. The plane that crashed into a field in Pennsylvania was supposed to either hit the White House or the Capital building. Over 3,000 people died and this day in
Ever since the tragic events that took place on September 11th the government has tightened its reins on public safety and possible terrorist activities. The article compares different wars in America and how they have shaped many of America's philosophies. For example during World War II Roosevelt enforced rationing and a military draft. When people think of democracy they think of power to the people and freedom. However, the article discusses the fact that since 9/11 there has been a lack of trust between the government and the citizens of America. The government has heightened law enforcement and surveillance of citizens, cracking down on immigration and terrorist activities. The article say, “Our wars are no longer engines of freedom
As kids, we were all warned about the basics. Call 911 for emergencies, tell an adult if someone touches you or even tell the teacher when someone says a bad word. But what happens when something happens to the last person you’d think it would happen to.. Yourself. Who could you actually turn to, and when the time struck, how would the words flow out to confess the crime done to you. Or even worse, would the words come out at all? “Can you tell me what happened exactly?” “It's okay to talk to us, we’re here to help you, not hurt you.” The words kept ringing in my head. But was it okay to talk to them? Speak of the unspeakable with people... people I didn't know, nor trust? Being so young I had no idea what was going on. As my heart was racing,
More than 3,000 people died during the 9/11 incident. Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon, and one failed to reach its destination, this lead to it crashing into a field on September 11, 2001. Due to our christian beliefs, radical islamists attacked the United States on this sad September day. This day lead to many lives lost, health concerns, along with many emotional issues.

"This is 911, what is your emergency?" A desperate eleven year old girl tried to answer the operator's question, but all I could manage were sobs.
There has been many terrorists attacks throughout American history. Yet, there is one attack that stands out the most to Americans, it is the one on September 11, 2001. This was when two airplanes had crashed into the world trade center and into the pentagon. After this, Americans had come to the conclusion that all Muslims are terrorists and that they should shun all Muslims at any cost. The way America had handled muslim treatment after 9/11 was not justified because, not all Muslims are terrorist and this had turned one of the largest religions in the world into becoming afraid of all Americans.

The reporter stated that: "Do you know it dangerous
I remember the rain, it was calm as it splashed against my kitchen window, while I waited for dinner to be served. It was a normal evening, my family and I gathered around the table ready to celebrate my grandparent's anniversary. My Dad had made a feast to feed all of Africa, over Labor day weekend to congratulate his parents on fifty years of marriage.
