"Moshi, moshi, Hakase." "Shinichi, I've got the information from your father's files and added some from recent newspapers., but he is still shrouded in mystery. The first time he showed was in Paris about 18 years ago. He stole for 10 years until one day, he disappeared. Many thought he passed away. Eight years later, however, he showed up again, but stayed in Japan instead of traveling around the world." "He must be pretty old then, if he was active 18 years ago." Conan couldn't imagine going 18 years without some information about him to surface to allow police to capture him. "He has quite a few nicknames. Heisei's Lupin," which caused Conan to snort and Pandora to giggle, "Magician under the Moonlight, and one more that everyone seems …show more content…
Conan turned around and pulled a lighter out of her pocket. Lighting it, she held it to the firework that she had bought earlier that day and stuck into one of Oc-chan's empty beer cans. "What are you doing here?" He looks up as the firework shoots into the sky and explodes with a pop. "Fireworks," Conan stated in a child-like voice. A smirk appears on her face. She wondered what the thief will do next. She turns at the sound of the rotor blades on a helicopter. "Look, a helicopter is coming this way! Maybe they saw us?" She added in a sly what-do-we-do-now voice. KID looked at Conan in slight surprise, and then covered it wit a smirk. "You're no ordinary brat, huh?" He just stared at her, waiting for an answer, that smirk never leaving his face. Turning to face him, she introduced herself with a smirk of her own, "Edogawa Conan, tantei-san." "Oh really?" KID teased. He just stood there, not moving, his hands in his pockets. Conan wondered why he was still there instead of …show more content…
-Kaitou KID Conan memorized it before Nakamori-keibu grabbed it and started ranting about how he was going to capture him next time. She sighed as she thought about how to get home. She could always walk, but the prospect didn't really appeal to her. "Maybe I could get an officer to drive me to the Agency." She looked around for Pandora and noticed her next to an officer about in the middle of the group. She had a huge grin on her face like she knew something Conan didn't. "You should ask this guy right here. Please," Pandora begged. Conan stared at her suspiciously, not knowing what she was up to. Conan didn't notice that the man in question had started to sweat and glace at her. She shrugged and thought, "Why not?" Running up the officer, she asked in a tired, 6-year-old child's voice, "Keiji-san, can you drive me home, please? I'm super tired." She wrapped it up with a convincing yawn and droopy eyes. The man's eyes flickered from her to the nearby officers as if asking for help. She figured he probably didn't have any
The young woman looked over her brother’s shoulder and smirked,” Voir? Elle est déjà partié.”
“You are one to talk, Little Miss Punctuality.” He whispered back, obviously teasing Kyra with his hushed voice. Her mouth slightly dropped at his banter and she decided to simply smirk in response.
“It’s an interesting, story about how we met him. Do you want to hear it?”
“Well. like I was telling your Chief, we’re investigating a series of home invasions turn child abductions. They might relate to some child abductions a few years ago and I believe that your John Doe might be one of the victims. He may be able to help us solve this.” I reply while looking directly at Doctor Alba.
She took a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes while emerging from the damaged spacecraft. Vibrant green grass awaited her along with trees all around and the smell of fresh rain dropping from the sky above. Raegan took a moment to wrap her head around what she had just experienced. It was only supposed to be a mission to collect data about the rings of Saturn. She was aware she went through something queer, something scientists said had only been a theory not yet proved. A wormhole; a fold in space. Raegan didn’t quite know where she was. All she had been aware of was that something went unplanned, which caused her to crash into a planet, perhaps in a distant universe. Anything could be possible in the infinite abyss we call space.
She ran as fast as her feet could take her. The moonlight weaved in and out of the branches illuminating spots she could reach. She did not dare to turn back to look over her shoulder because she knew it is how the killer always got the victim. Her white slip teared when it got snagged against a branch. Her fingers gripped the silk material and held it together by the tattered seams. She quickly began her escape once more and found a clearing from the icy branches.
Her whole world was crashing down. It what seemed like only a split second, her best friend’s father had been condemned to death. Someone who she considered to be like a father was going to be taken away, ripped away from her.
The diffused light became a blinding glare as Toni swam back to the surface of reality. Her head felt as if it were being pounded with a sledgehammer. There was a thick silence around her, broken only by a steady beeping sound in the background. She vaguely felt numerous tubes and needles poking into her body.
It was nearly a 4:30 in the morning and Asher Aamil lay in his bunk, staring at the pockmarked prison ceiling, enjoying the soft patter of the early morning drizzle against the window. He very much loved these dark days, the created a gloomy, dark atmosphere, yet it was relaxing and they still got to go out into the yard. He lay there for nearly an hour, relaxing, thinking about the circumstances that landed him where he was today, the same routine he had for the most part of the last two years. At about a half hour until five he slips out of bed and gets ready for the day, and soon the guards come around as they all do at six sharp. He shuffled through the day and found himself in the cafeteria at noon. And that was where his schedule
Her body always feels cold, always feels fragile. That’s why someone else’s touch always feels so foreign to her.
She smiled. “The book you brought me helped me realize who I am, and how much I hate Nova,” she said, angrily. Ash started laughing. “What? I thought Nova was your enemy too,” she said, confused.
The little girl sat in the hospital bed crying as her doctor left, leaving the door open. She couldn't believe the news, her dreams; ruined. She wouldn't graduate college, she wouldn't get married and have kids, she wouldn't even get to see her little brother do the same thing. Oh, her brother, her little brother is going to be devastated when he hears the news!
I had just exited the barber shop when my dad was waiting for me inside his van. I agreed to help my aunt move her household items into boxes in preparation for her new home. I agreed to help because not only was I close to my aunt; I also get to see my cousin, Joseph. I had kept my thoughts about him throughout the car ride until we finally arrived at my aunt’s house. As usual, she ran outside to welcome me and my dad warmly while Joseph stood on the doorway watching us from the shadows. When I walked up to him to say my greetings, he did the same but he wasn’t as enthusiastic as the three of us. With that, my Dad worked alongside our aunt while I was paired with my cousin who was in charge of carrying living room furniture out of the house.
He laughed again as they made their way into the camping equipment store he scouted out. He decided to buy some time to see if he could get some answers out of (Y/N) and pretended to browse.
The oldest residents of the hospital basement were the spiders and their webs, a clear sign that no one else's footsteps had echoed within these walls for years. Maya's eyes darted around in concern not wanting to get in trouble for the third time this month. She glanced towards Ash who held the torch shining it onto old files of older patients buried just outside the centre. The smell of rotting wood and metal hung in the air, a pile of blood covered sheets tossed in the corner.
