Introduction and Definition of Foster Children Aging Out “The term ‘aging out’ refers to children within a state’s foster care system who are still in the system upon reaching the age of majority or when they have graduated from high school” (Craft, 2017, Aging Out). Many of these children “have not found permanency with an adoptive family … or they have not been able to return to their biological parents” (Craft, 2017, Aging Out). A child typically ages out at 18 years, “but some states have extended services beyond this age because so many young adults are just not ready to be thrust out into the world on their own at such a young age” (Craft, 2017, Aging Out). If a foster parent chooses to continue parenting the foster child once they have aged out of the system, they are able to as long as the foster youth is okay with this. If an individual continues fostering a child, they will no longer receive money from the state.
The 1960’s was an important era in the development of Canada. The 60s youth had very different ideas on life compared to previous generations. Unlike their parents, the hippie generation didn’t enjoy the booming prosperity of Canada and preferred to take a different route in life. Young men grew out their hair and refused to wear suits, while the women burned their bras, and wore flowers in their hair. Many of the primary values were inspired by Martin Luther King Jr’s ideas of racial harmony and non-violent protests. The 60s focused on peace and civil rights. Music was commonly used to promote these ideas and created the concept of music festivals called "love-ins", which is simply where people gathered and sang abound world peace. Popular

“Elderly Adult Survey” Mrs. Audine Blue is my client for this “Elderly Adult Survey.” Interviewing this lovely lady was delightful as she revealed her birthday of August 15, 1933 and is 84 years young. The lovely Mother Blue originally from North Carolina was afforded to live for a while in California, as well as, in New York before returning to North Carolina. Married to Mr. Henry Shelton Blue at very young age, they have one daughter, one grandchild, and one great grandchild. Asking about her parents, Mother Audine became sad considering they died while she was young. The cause of their death was hard work and cruel treatment that Mother Audine had to witness as a child. However, she recalled how they put their trust in God and
I feel at age 20 you would feel more pressed for time to do all of the things that you wanted to do with your life. Many 20 year olds are usually in college starting their careers and lives, why would they want to be worrying about something that

It is difficult to accept that a senior in your life is no longer able to perform the same tasks they used to. Most likely there have been small signs seen that have raised concern, and in some cases a blind-eye might have been given to the fact. Or, maybe there were signs all along and no one recognized them until they got worse. Regardless, of the reason getting the senior help now will increase their safety at home, increase longevity, and keep them living happy at home. There are many early signs that can be linked to seniors aging and need assistance at home. Here are some of the early signs that homecare is needed that may surprise.
One of the most important factors to keeping seniors healthy is exercise. A community exercise program would encourage exercise in this population. Initiating a senior community exercise program within a community would require a large amount interprofessional communication and collaboration. In addition, to have a successful community senior exercise program it would the involvement of several different disciplines. As people age they develop many special needs related to the later period of life. Many elderly people have specific physical needs where adaptations to their home are necessary or where they need specific equipment for self care. Old age also brings new emotional challenges for the elderly person when
No matter how young you, are you could heavily impact someone's education. Some schools have a program where the older students are paired with younger ones. First of all, one way it can help with the younger is teaching them to deal with older people. Second of all, it will help them get experience and show them how to take responsibility. Third of all, it will show them how to be kind to one another.
I have been volunteering at the nursing home every week to study the elderly since they tend to have weaken bones due to age. I noticed how some bones are so weak that they can no longer walk and must have a wheelchair. The elderly wish that they could be able to walk on their legs again, but are restricted due to the injuries that can concur if they attempt to walk on their own. Being in a nursing home also helps me become suited to a hospital environment since the majority of patients in hostpitals are seniors. There are many upset seniors who constantly go throughout their day upset because they are not able to do what they desire and they soon take their anger out on me. I know that I am not able to take out my anger on them, so I calm myself down and explain to them the situation and why they are not able to do what they desire. The elderly then soon understand how I am not being mean by not letting them out of their wheelchair, but I am actually protecting them from harm. The majority of my day at the nursing home consists of seniors being mad or sad because they can't walk and are always on wheelchairs. Due to this, I frequently wonder if it may be possible for one to strengthen the weakened bones enough for one to be able to walk
Reflection of Late Adulthood For this paper, I had the privilege of interviewing one of my friend’s grandmother. Her name is Jamie Hansen and she is a healthy and active 68-year-old grandmother. In the beginning of the phone call, I asked some basic background knowledge questions such as how many grandkids she has and if she was a widower or not. I found out that she and her husband are happily married and that she has six grandchildren. As I got to know her more I started asking questions that pertained to the interview aspect of social theories. I figured out that Mrs. Hansen’s responses led to an application of the continuity and socioemotional selective theories.
