We’re approaching the end of the term. You’ve learned how to think at a higher level this term and how to weigh information based on its level of credibility. You will now put your new thinking skills to good use.
This assignment involves watching a credible FRONTLINE documentary online, and then discussing its content related to health. As you watch, you will find questions below to help you sort the information. You should pause the program to think about and write your answers in detail. If you don’t, you may end up spending time returning to rewatch portions of the program. The last question of the worksheet will ask you to use the other worksheet answers

The program is 90 minutes long and you need to focus 100% on it as though you were taking an exam. Please read through the rest of this document before you begin watching the documentary, so that you have a good idea of what you will do with the information you gather while watching.

You will submit ONLY your essay (not your worksheet). By living in such a technically advanced society, I feel there are several things that account towards the decisions we make every day in regards to our health. To further describe the claim that we live in a technically advanced society, we are surrounded by images that are often directed towards health and image. Covers of magazines, famous people, and athletes are all images that most people strive to become or look like. Personally, growing up I always aspired to become a professional hockey player. Our Wellness department not only offers wellness services to our employees, we also offer wellness services to area businesses that wish to provide their employees with a wellness program but do not have their own wellness staff. We call this segment of our department services our corporate program. Over the course of the past few years, we have provided corporate wellness programs to approximately eight different area businesses, with several of them becoming annual customers.

There are too many people who believe that they’re already too overweight, too weak, or too old to get in shape. People think that everybody in the gym is in perfect shape, and that is just not true.
