Albert Einstein was born March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany. His parents were Hermann and Pauline Einstein. Albert had only one sibling growing up; his sister Maria who was also called Maja. Even as a young boy Albert had an amazing capability to understand science and mathematics. Most likely better than almost any other person ever born. He attended a school in Munich and a separate school specifically for grammar. Albert did not enjoy his grammar school because they were very strict and he was forced to learn it and he was not given a choice of what he wanted. He did enjoy learning science and mathematics however. When Albert was 15 he left his school and moved to Milan with his family. To make up for his loss of schooling he attended a school in Aarau, Switzerland. After Aarau, he began studying in Zurich. His goal was to receive a diploma so he could teach mathematics and physics (his favorite subjects as a child). He finished his education in July 1900. Not only was Albert an intelligent man but he also was a great musician. He could play both the violin and the piano. His love of music would eventually bring him to Italy and Switzerland. His love of music was greatly influenced by his mother, Pauline, who was a great pianist also. Albert began playing the violin at the age of six, while his family was living in Munich, Germany. Albert did not agree or like his violin teachers. He would say they were unimaginative and short sighted. He hated his teachers
