1. Asian Development Bank (ADB) (Andrews & Yñiguez, 2004)
This study on Water in Asian Cities provides information on water supply and sanitation utilities in 18 Asian cities. The efforts of collecting the data for the period of 2001-2002 were made by the domestic consultants, the report was then released in 2004. A range of performance indicators were used in the data book in order to evaluate the performance of water utilities. In Table 3, it displays the set of performance indicators that used in the water utilities data book and also shows how they were computed from various formulas.

The International Benchmarking Network for Water and Sanitation Utilities (IBNET) provides a large database for sharing of data in order to improve water and sanitation utility performance, which supports and promotes good benchmarking practices among water supply sector by providing guidance on indicators, definitions and methods of data collection.
