Our town, like most, has one, two, or more large enclosed shopping malls, plus several strip centers. The largest open mall in town is not far from our house and is the one my wife shop at most often. It is a large open shopping area with buildings in clusters of two, to six. There is ample parking, and two or more of the stores is accessible from each parking space. The complex is anchored by a twelve-screen theater, and three big-box stores. The variety of merchandise will rival any of the large enclosed malls. Here you can find everything, clothing, household items, food, auto parts, sports and hardware. Unlike the enclosed malls this shopping center has the largest number national chain restaurants in town, along with a cafeteria, donut shop, and several locally owned eateries. There is in one art gallery that also serves coffee and a selection of teas, a hobby shop and three places that sell art supplies, which we both use. One of our favorite stores is a Bakery chain store, they not only have the best- tasting coffee they, have the largest assortment of goodies to go with it. For lunch, they serve a choice of sandwiches, salads and soups. At dinnertime, they add a great choice of pizza and beer, plus the sandwich menu. Three doors south of the Bakery is a large pet store that my wife and I often visit. We do not own one, but we enjoy looking at the fish, ferrets, and rodents.
